Hate to rain on this "Fumbles were the difference" parade, but even if you neglect the drives where the wolfpack fumbled,

Not counting drives that start in the final 2 minutes of a half:
Monkeys score touchdowns: 5 out of 6 drives
Wolfpack score touchdowns: 1 out of 3 drives

I understand that things play out differently if the score's a little closer, but to pin the entire thing on fumbles isn't quite fair imo.

Well we can pin it on Csonka, right

I mean we did punt once, ultimately as I said the Monkeys defense got the job done on us.

You could pin it on Csonka, but i wouldn't even do that.

I'd pin it on the extreme brokenness/shittyness of this seasons sim, and the fact that MEM have an OC 100% willing to abuse said brokenness/shittyness. >_>

Of course Csonka helps... a lot.

way to fall on the sword

Seriously, rj414 and I were just PMing on this whole thing. I'm actually a little relieved this shit is over now. In fact I'm p much dreading having ot do this once more against LOL in Hazy's final.

OFG will definitely be getting one of my old AIs with balanced passing/running. I just want my GLB soul cleansed now.

Sad thing is I'm willing to bet Drago could have passed all over WW. After our game I was kind of wished we would have passed more.

LOL! There is no single reason we loss but against MEM you can't win unless you are at least even on the turnover battle. It's as simple as that. We could have scored on every drive, but if we are -2 on the turnovers, we lose. It's that simple.

It's not a bug or a glitch, obviously something is either right with MEM's defenders or wrong with our HB's. That's the way the dot ball bounces.

FWIW - Without the first fumble the game probably goes into the half tied at 14-14 or Mem leading 17-14.

***O*** lost the turnover battle to them 3-1 also. Maybe MEM's defense doesn't get talked about enough, but they seem to get it down when they need to.

Duff, to be honest their offense is their best defense. Their defense is great, but I wonder how many times their offense has not scored this season?

Looking at their loss against LOL

Drive 1: Punt
Drive 2: TD
Drive 3: FG
Drive 4: TD
Drive 5: INT (end of half)
Drive 6: TD
Drive 7: Fumble
Drive 8: Turnover on downs
Drive 9: Turnover on downs
Drive 10: Turnover on downs

Now compare that to the first WW game (which was a much closer game than today's)
Drive 1: TD
Fumble Return: TD
Drive 2: TD
Drive 3: FG
Drive 4: TD
Drive 5: FG
Drive 6: FG

The Wolfpack lost by 17. Interestingly enough, they punted once and turned the ball over twice. Interestingly enough, 17 points is a three possession game.

Today the Wolfpack lost by 25 and had 5 failed drives to MEM's 1. A difference of 4 drives, 25 points is a 4 possession game.

I definitely give big props to their defense as the Wolfpack uses the same "score every time the offense touches the ball" gameplan and count on the defense to make one more stop than they do.

I'll tell you what...I scouted them briefly, just in case we had to play them, I think MEM's D is better than their O. Their O is tough as hell, but I believe their D is even tougher. No doubt their O helps them, but they have the best talent on D of any team up here, bar none, IMO

Edit: interestingly (or not), I scouted WW also, and came away thinking the reverse, that your O is better than your D (though your D is very good).

I have been saying this all year Jdros has put together the best D I have ever seen. The Gamblers are going to be a hell of test, but our D has been the one constant in the last four seasons with Jdros running it, we have lost 3 Regular season game in 3+ seasons since he took over early in our last season of Triple A and are in the title game for the 4 time in 3 seasons since he has run it.

GG MEM, even if you guys did abuse the "score more points than the other team" exploit. That one always seems to work.

I hope TSE doesn't think we are bad sports for doing it

Not really.

You have fallen so far off the level of respectability and overall class with your prior transgressions and obsession with hatred and spreading of animosity to those that are trying to play the game with honesty and integrity and honor and trying to have fun.

These other details are pretty ancillary in comparison.

The hypocrisy metter on your sentence just blew up the entire state of Florida. I seriously hope how you act is just a really clever troll. Because if you are anything like in real life that you are on here.......that would be just sad
