I'd like the idea more if you went with an S-Curve for the divisions.

Alpha East: Taiwan (1), Tokyo (8), Radford (9), Portland (16)
Alpha West: Bangkok (2), Macau (7), Unum (10), Jeanland (15)
Alpha South: New England (3), Big Dick Rutkowski (6), Xi'an (11), Aggieland (14)
Alpha North: Phuket (4), Kunming (5), Ashwaubenon (12), Holbrook (13)

Zeta East: Bangkok T (1), Johor Bahru (8), Shang Hi (9), oQuarterback (16)
Zeta West: Haiphong (2), Saigon (7), Makati (10), Bangkok G (15)
Zeta South: Kentucky (3), Guangzhou (6), Peking (11), Shanghai (14)
Zeta North: Aussie (4), Indonesia (5), Tin Zin (12), Metro (13)

The problem would be with promotions/demotions. In this example Portland and oQuarterback would be dropped with their winless records and Seattle and Krakatoan would be promoted from AAA. That would put the two AAA division winners with the top two teams in the league. Since it is early in this game those two teams are more than likely as strong as the Bangkok's that have come in and pushed around most of the league.

I think the solution for now would be to wait a couple more seasons on this and let the weaker teams get replaced with the stronger teams from the lower leagues. When the league is more balanced from top to bottom then split it into the divisions.

ndon, thanks for the post.

i dunno about the s-curve. those divisions look imbalanced. the top two teams have it too easy.
