Well, I'm not really trying to damn anyone, including myself, for doing it. I just don't think we should be able to give ourselves a free pass on it either. I've come to the firm belief that Bort is an absolute fucking tool, and I'm being nice by putting it that mildly. Still, he hasn't forced any of us to do anything. We've forced each other and allowed ourselves to suck the fun out of the game.

There is no doubt in my mind that Bort really won't fix a single important thing in this game again next ssn. By the end, someone will again find 1 play that out does everything else. Granted, with the D play creator, that may be tougher, but it will still happen. When that happens, odds are high that we'll be living the same suck ass style of play all over again. Bort, sticking to his consistent lack of forethought, will find a way to nerf the players/play and we'll just repeat the cycle all over again. Put all the blame on Bort, but show surprisingly little restraint ourselves.

Let's face it, if this game is going to start being fun again, it will have to be because we owners and GMs up here decide not to play like pussies (and thanks again for not completely selling out today Hazy...That was a much more fun game on both sides of the ball for me because of it). God knows, Bort is FAR too incompetent or just doesn't give a shit to do it himself.


Edit added "completely" to "thanks again for not <> selling out today Hazy" We both sold out to a certain extent (Me going 40% pass on 1st, but 100% run on 2nd), but at least it was much closer to a real game.

Why is it people blame the sim there must be a good way to stop it because HHW shut MEM down to 16 points. If MEM had nothing else going for them they would have lost but unless I read the score wrong they have a damn fine defense as well. I have also played them in other seasons where Drago was a monster and lead a killer pass attack.

I have not seen eye to eye with MEM on several posts throughout a few seasons but they always adapt. If you want realism it is just like the NFL. Went from early 80's and a power run game (Redskins) fad to West Coast offense (49'ers) to scat back set ups (Bills) and big possession clock eating offenses (Cowboys) back to power games (Steelers). We could bring up in the late 90's the greatest show on turf as well to the 3-4 fad currently taking over the NFL.

Teams adapt, it should be that teams like mine who did not do so well, get a jump on early recruiting and bring in what they anticipate will be good next season in the sim or more help to stop what was tough this season. I will lay money that MEM has a new twist for next season and will not be caught off guard.

The sim will keep evolving and players will retire, the mark of a good GLB team is one who can stay competitive as the seasons roll by and find a niche each season they excel at and ride the train all the way to some gold.

Only teams using exploitings seens to be against it. Surprising, isn't it?

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I'm not blaming the sim for us losing a single game this ssn...I'm blaming it, as well as most of us owners/GMs for sucking almost all the fun out of most of the games we played this ssn (and they were all Ws)

The thing that's get me about the powerback stuff, is the thought that your player would have to be strong to tackle them.. if anyone here actually watches football, you'll see smaller DB's tackle bigger guys all day long by going at the legs.

against what? take all the exploit plays out and your team still won't make the playoffs

hell, reshuffle all the teams in this manner and you STILL won't make the playoffs
