We've got both Minnesota and Bandar Lumpung coming up shortly, and I think they're each ranked a bit low for what they've done. Minnesota may have gotten off to a slow start but they're top 10 material imo. Wolfpack a bit high for what we've accomplished so far (ask me again next week!), and it's surprising to see OTR wasn't higher on more ballots.
Ya, it honestly does amaze me that they said we weren't even on some peoples ballots. I may be biased but ranking us anything lower than 25th is just flat out ignorant
.
I would be inclined to agree, especially cuz I would regard MM as the the 4th best team in the west (just based purely on performance so far this year) when the 3 teams in front of them make up 3 of the top 5
I'm interested to see how the BSB vs MM game plays out. We're both pretty similar, imo, both with solid defenses. I suppose the MEM/Lincoln games are benchmarks which on paper tip for MM, but I think it'll be a hell of a game regardless.
I haven't worked out the schedules yet, but at first glance I think we may have another BSB/MM playoff matchup. I think Galk is pretty familiar with that game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=204202

I knew that score was coming before we even started. We weren't that good of a team yet and you bunch of goobers didn't boost/spend SP all season.

OTR and Green Bay were tough to rank because lack of friendly/tourney games. I think both are better than a lot of teams ranked ahead of them but how do you rank them above teams that are playing everyday with tourneys & reg season games? There were too many undefeated or 1 loss reg season teams with active friendly/tourney resume's in other leagues and both OTR & GB have two regular season losses.
On the other hand I completely understand GB's situation as far as friendlies/tourneys and tooley has explained OTR's but it's tough to overlook teams that are playing/game planning every day. Shit, GB was left off a lot of ballots. If you do not play tourneys/friendlies it's tough to make the early rankings...but if you win the USPL championship you're immediately forgiven, lol. Washington in S7 and Boston in S6 played less than stellar friendlies and both were immediately jumped into the top 4 with a USA pro championship.
Don't sweat it, x...I appreciate what you did for us. As far as us being hard to rank higher, I understand and am fine with that.
Edit: I appreciate anyone that voted for us....And I loved your comment, magic LOL

Nope... Not a worry... I just don't get into friendlies the same way. The day I start gameplanning and setting tactics for a game that's not on our regular schedule is the day I burn out completely from GLB....

And we all know I am way too lazy to set tactics for Friendlies.

Like I said in that other topic, I'm sure like 90% of teams don't gameplan or set tactics for scrims.

Probably/possibly true... If that's the case, not sure why we suck so much in friendlies, and are damned good in the regular season compared to other top teams....
well, I do, just sayin'.

Spicewood is so fucking inconsistent. We have beaten several teams on there, had a close loss to WSI, were winning the MEM game going into the 4th....then just get fucking smacked by WW and MM.
