I'm not sure if this should be based on numbers. If you have a good team your D is not on the feild much and can't get alot of tackles and PD's. If you look at the def rankings on the Division page you will see all the best teams on the bottom of the list.
The best cb's are those that don't get thrown at due to their close coverage of the WR.
Same goes for most other defense positions.
BTW, we should break this down by conference, my guys don't stand a chance against the numbers being put up in the Eastern Conference
. Besides the NFL breaks it down by NFC and AFC.
