Wow, you must play against a bunch of weaklings. But good job with the heavy tackling, it'll serve you well as your team moves up.

I hate it when people throw out stats, as a safety the more stats you have the worse your team is, great my FS could go on a week team and probably get 15 INTs and 10 TD, but my team kicks ass, and so does my FS and I only have 15 tackles and 1 INT in 11 games!

I enjoy your objective opinion!

Objectivity is a myth.

I'm entirely subjective, and my only bias is the truth.

Nice, are you finding Tackling >> Strength?

Are others on your team upping Tackling compared to Strength... overall?

So far I have. I play on power tackling and have only missed one tackle since I put it there. I have also kept it that way against equal level competition, so yea I would say Tackling > strength. It may also have to do with his high speed as well. Some of the force fumbles I have seen also seem to come from him stripping the ball rather than just laying out a player. Also most of my tackles trigger either Big Hit or Monster Hit even though I only have one point in each from Custom Equipment.

thats false for a SS atleast. Often times the SS is the one that comes up to shut down a sweep or off-tackle runs.

You're level 53 in the A leagues?!?!?!??!You hate it cause you can't get any stats. Get a couple of int's at least. If your build was any good you'd be getting int's at least. you would definitely be getting pass deflections. That F.S. has sucked his whole career.Noob. GTFO.

My FS is pretty good imo. He's been solid for a long time, but our teams offense seems to come up short all the time. Doesn't get many interception options since he is usually the one making the PD when its in his area. Had a nice Pick-6 against a decent team last game though.

You can check gamelogs. Only 6 were from a gut.

Safety stats don't always have to do with how good a safety's build is. Most of it is the type of defense played, the type of offense the other team plays, if they play special teams, how good your team is, and how good your opponents are. If you're on a really good defensive team, the FS shouldn't see much action at all.

Right and thats the problem with most D.C's on this game. You're sheep if you believe this.

Free thinkers know how to get their safeties involved.

You can truly believe this. Have no stats and brush it off as having a good front 7. Or you can actually get involved in the defense instead of playing zone in no man's land even in obvious run situations.

I understand what you're saying. But we're cruising in USA AAA2, dominating people in some kind of AAA tourney, and our defense has been outstanding lately. My FS's role varies based on the game. Playoffs, he normally sees more action the past couple season, as we mix things up. We're well on our way to USA Pro the way things are looking so i have no plan on rocking changing anything defensively

And yet a good majority of people posted here are much better than you. Odd eh?

you can do 4 things with the FS

cover 2 he takes up half the deep field
cover 1/3 takes up the middle of the field
cover 0 covers a WR usually a double team
blitz him from a cover 2 start spot

not a lot of room to do much, blitzing is effective against 5WR though
