I think Bort is getting supplies ready to get really hammered before he messes with the powerbacks.

He also has to brace himself for all of the whiners that get really upset when they can't win because they invested 100% of all their resources into creating a power running game offense. If Bort does nothing, he's screwed. If Bort nerfs the powerbacks then he's screwed.

So Bort, which flavor would you like to get yelled at for, pick your poison!

Bort: *takes 10 shots* *replies on message board sarcastically* *takes 10 more shots* *hits arguing stage of drunkeness feeling slighted by the masses of GLB complaining about his game* *takes 5 more shots* *gives in to GLB masses* *starts to become cross eyed* *blacks out in the middle of making changes* *changes game drastically overnight*

GLB: *fuck my life*

Power backs don't need to get nerfed.

Energy over XX carries does (I'd say 40 since that is 10 over what I would think of as "reality")

Chris Perry once had 51 carries in a game for U of M. That was a historical performance. He did fumble 1time in the game in the 1st quarter, but it wasn't a lost fumble.

guys can get 50+ carries in a game...i have no problem with that...but in a game with no injuries...i have a problem with that consistently happening day after day...

not only that...but it takes the thought of game planning and fun of actually watching a game away from GLB.

in one game yes, averaging 40-45+ in a season is promlematic though.

Also, playing in college is a lot different than the pros. Players that end up in the NFL are/were stand out type guys in college, while most (if not all) of the opposition in any particular game are not.

Oh I agree with you, I wasn't trying to suggest that 50+ carries on a regular basis is good, I was just mentioning a memory I had of one time in particular I can remember a noteworthy time that it has happened.

exactly...although, i compare this game more to the NCAA than to the NFL (but in reality I think it should be its own entity and we shouldnt be concerned with making this game the "NFL" simulation) because of the player build parity over the league....a lot of teams dont really have a ton of all star builds...once we get near the end of season 10-12 or whenever builds start to decrease....the pros can be considered more like the pros as most builds should be pretty equally built and great at most stats.

Exactly right. Powerbacks have already been nerfed this season. Broken tackles are slightly down and arm tackling is making an impact. DTs have improved this season as opposed to the end of last. The smart teams put some in tackling/strength with their boosts instead of expecting a bailout and exploiting speed like most of you have all the way up to the Pros. Lincoln will never be dramatically affected by a nerf because we build balanced football players instead of attempting to exploit the changes in the sim every season (ie: Harper).

+ 1, power backs are averaging fewer yards YPC this season and the numbers back that up (non troll). I've spent a lot of SP's in tackling and strength since we played Lincoln last season, so my investment is now a waste due to cry babies? Running back stamina tied to carries deserves a serious investigation, but I don't want to see p backs nerfed because I've already adjusted my build.

Seems like stamina/energy affects the defense more than the offense.

Coach, your SS has already missed 3 tackles in 16 tries this season, this is after missing only 2 in 57 tries last season. I hope this is not the adjustment you are talking about.
