Gief is a whole new beast in the new Street Figther 4. Overpowered.

You just have to not let him grab you... which... isn't all that easy...

E. Honda is so overpowered in the original, it wouldn't even be a challenge

I had a six-hit combo with Blanka - once I landed the first hit which was a jumping strong punch, the round was over. If you blocked that punch, the game was still live... but if you had full enegry and I land just that first punch... nothing could stop me from landing the other 5 and finishing your energy bar off.

Everyone knows the Chu Li "strong punch/throw" cheat. But did anyone know the Ryu short kick cheat?

The Guile "handcuff" glitch? I think there were two more that I'm spacing on right now... but I spent the summer of 7th grade at the local convenience store mastering that game. 1 quarter around 4pm (time the store would start getting busy) would last me until 8pm or until people stopped playing me and I beat the game.

I remember one guy who was going through the line of people there laughed when I waited my turn and brought in Zangief. He won the first round. He hit me once in the second round and not at all in the third round. I never even did the grab stuff with him.

Gah..in 4...they let all the people without actual projectile moves be able to grab you in some impossible ways..like you could be in the middle of a combo and they just grab you up lol.. But I like Ken anyway, I will trash with him

My favorites were Ken and Guile. The laundromat up the block from my house had the arcade there back when I was 12 or 13. I eventualy got so good that I started beating the Japanese kids.

I learned most of the cheats from the Japanese kids, but to be honest they wern't very good at the game. Even the older asian teenagers who owned the Donut Shop in the same parking lot couldn't beat me... they would walk in and turn around back out the door when they saw me playing.

the first guy I learned how to play well was Ryu. I never got into Guile much, because it seemed like all the other guys playing it were always picking him.

Ken's Dragon Punch had a better angle/range. Ryu's was too straight up.
