Sorry to report homie:

Both of my D-linemen had their vision 1st-capped last season and did diddly-dickall.

My slowbuild D-Line of Rock and Roll Clowns will not make vision a priority until much, much later.

I don't mean to be jumping on anybody here but for the Dline a sharp reaction time to the snap is extremely important

and that sharp reaction time is a function of vision

vision is important to getting off the snap quickly and engaging with the OL before they get in a run/pass blocking stance and gain a leverage advantage on you which is much harder to beat once they do

putting SPs into vision and at least getting it capped is highly reccommended (by me) to be effective over talented OLines

evaluate your player's reaction off of the snap throughout a whole game and judge for yourself

edit:
well it's not the most important thing for a DL to have immediately when he's still growing up GLB style but quick reaction time is something all DLinemen need to have

My SS got worse when I pumped his vision from 30-50, direct lines for a tackle became convoluted routes. I think it's been fixed, but indecision isn't a good thing. Super elusive HBs have been having similar problems, not that those overrated asses don't deserve some issues, but still.

No disrespect intended Pepperz90, but your level 47 DE Ricky got 61 sacks total last season...all in 4 games against chump opponents...and your level 37 DE Julius "pep" Pepperz got 26 with 14 coming in one single game.

So "fine" is a relative term.

Lots of great advice and feedback. Thanks for everything. I have decided to bring my d.e's and dt's vision to the second cap. It makes sense I guess.

I think you are right, the JTS VA is evidence that vision's importance has been raised. I agreed in the past, that vision wasn't that important for a Dlineman, but think you're right in saying that it now is.

It is more important but it still can't replace the SP you need to get to QB before he throws or the ST or AG you need to avoid the block. You need those first, but then at some point it makes sense to get your VI first and even second capped.

60 VIS + Football Genius OR
48 VIS + Jump the Snap

Considering a Pass Rushing DE, is the second option a more efficient use of SP's? Will the difference in pass rushing production be significantly different using the top option?
