How should I approach getting this guy better? I am frustrated that his avg is down this season, but I will take pinning the opposition deep over long punts any day.

Confidence up a lot. Agility to soft cap. Punting could be higher, but OK.

BTW, if you want a good punter, don't worry about your bar...

Based on my calculations, training agility this offseason, boosting 3 times, then leveling up again early next season = gold bar @ level 38. Never built for the bar (adding to strength to 60 right now actually), still pretty early though.

That's a great punting average for level 34. Well done.

Thanks. I fudge it, as I own his team. In a game I know we'll win, I don't let him punt inside the opponent 50. Even though he has impeccable coffin corner ability from the 35, I still wont do it lol.

His build, though, is still pretty badass.

I'm currently equipping a lowly +2 confidence +1 punting +1 hang time piece, which is holding things back a bit, and he doesn't have level 32 equipment yet either.

I know you didn't ask for it, but here's my thoughts:

1) great build overall. Really like it. Confidence is about perfect, punting high enough, vision very good.
2) I still believe that agility plays a key role. I'd cap this one.
3) The verdict is still out on strength, but don't see why you shouldn't take it to 2nd cap.
4) Although I'd leave SAs alone for a while, when you do, get the Calm Nerves up. WIth an AEQ on HT, you'll need to pump CN to keep it balanced. As well, CN is my favorite SA.
5) Was interested in what your interpretation of speed was after your project. Thought it showed a little stronger than I expected. You rationalized it out, but wondered if it still pesters you in the back of your mind.
6) Where are you going after SS with your VAs?

1) thanks
2) yeah, I'm going to cap agility after I...
3) yup, currently taking it to 60
4) SAs are only 4-4-5, and after strength / agility, I'll take calm nerves up. I was looking for a calm nerves piece over hang time, but couldn't pass up the +2 confidence hang time came with
5) I have no idea on speed, and am hesitant on capping it. I'd take strength to 60, cap agility, take calm nerves to 8 base, cap jumping all before considering capping speed. I'm obviously training speed + agility right now, and will continue to do so for a while.
6) I'm not sure. My team should advance up a league, so we'll see how much I need to punt next season. Probably switch back and forth between "nail in coffin" and "motivational speaker" for the rest of my career. My rational on nail in coffin is twofold. First, I think +30% to do a coffin corner is better than +15% in confidence once it is so high anyway. Second, coffin corners are so brutal in the current sim. If I can get them to trigger from farther away, and get more of those 60 yarders... yummy.

I don't think so, but others disagree.

I like vision more. Though once it comes down to it, both end up at 60 in my build plans, maybe vision 1 higher so its sorta just a matter of what I'd do first being vision. I'd never spend 3:1 on either.

Hey guys, would you believe I've never really looked in the GoalLineBlitz forum itself, didn't know we had this section 8 season's in and acting like a noob.
Anyways. My P has been doing alright this season, 6 touch backs and 20 out of bounds in the red zone. 11 have been between the Goal & 5 yard line, 4 between the 5 & 10 yard lines and 5 between the 10 & 20 yard lines. That was last time I counted a game or two ago. He has no LvL 40. EQ or AEQ.

11 have been between the Goal & 5 yard line, 4 between the 5 & 10 yard lines and 5 between the 10 & 20 yard lines. What should I be focusing on with him now as he levels? Is there a point where there is no need for any more punting? I haven't done anything with it in a while, its currently 7 SP's to boost it!

I think your confidence needs to get up another notch or two. You seem to have completely neglected agility and jumping. I'm not totally convinced, but think you need to get these to 30 or so at least. I think you are too late to put more in punting. With level 40 and 48 equip, you should be able to get it high enough.

Cool, thanks for the advice. Confidence is what I have been working on this season. I'll start training agility and jumping and see what happens.

Is it worth it to take punting to 73 right off the bat?

here is my P in the works...

level 2: 32 + full bar + 20 SP = 49 + 3SP
level 3: 50 + 8 SP = 54
level 4: 55 + 5 SP
level 5: 56 + 10 SP = 61
level 6: 62 + 5 SP
level 7: 63 + 10 SP = 67 + 1 SP

at which point I will need to choose, cash in 8 bonus tokens for 2 SP, then add to 68, fill bar, and level 8 I'll have 70 punting.

or, keep going!

level 8: 68 + 6 SP
level 9: 69 + 11 SP = 71 + 3 SP
level 10: 72 + 8 SP = 74
level 11: 75 + fill bar = 76 + 5 SP

or if I were to stop at 68 with those cash-ins,

level 8: 70 punting + 5 SP
level 9: 71 punting + 10 SP
level 10: 72 + 15 SP
level 11: 73 + 20 SP - 8 bonus tokens

So the decision is for level 11, would you rather have

76 punting + 5 SP
73 punting + 20 SP - 8 bonus tokens.

reduces to

3 punting and 8 bonus tokens, or 15 SP

The thing about the 15 SP, is that by now the build will be ready to cap confidence 3 levels sooner, whereas the longer build will need to keep waiting and miss a TON of value.

---

I think the decision is clear, to cash-in those bonus tokens to really milk out all you can in punting, and end up at level 11 with capped confidence and 73 punting. This projects to being able to get confidence to 61 at level 15, and to 68 at level 18. By then, punting is up to 81. Fill bar, confidence, and you have at level 18...

69 confidence
81 punting

and a LOT of gains left to make.
