charles woodson is going to be a saftey now and i dont think they would move a shutdown cb to saftey if he truly was considered a shutdown cb

Asasnte samuel played a lot of zone pass defense, spending a lot of time looking in the backfield at the QB. That's why he gets beat deep often. Not a shut down corner.
Most shutdown corners (when there are some) are not well known, because a true shutdown corner spends the game not on tv, because the guy he's covering is not open, and no balls get thrown his way.

Granted86, your analysis is rooted in your perception of how things should be rather than how they actually are. CBs do not need 40+ str/tackling. My CBs have very few missed tackles and have never put a SP in to either. CBs do not need 3rd cap Vision (68+). They do not need 2nd cap Jumping (it is useful though)--most WRs don't even have that.. They certainly don't "need" Carrying or Catching.
Your claim that "wr's can focus on speed and agility only and train all other attributes, cb's cant ignore any except punting/kicking/throwing" is just biased bullshit. Sure, WRs can focus on Speed, Agility (and Catching) and be effective. CBs can likewise focus on Speed, Agility (And Vision) and be effective.
Ironically, your argument would work for other defensive positions like LBs and SSs who really do have too much to increase to keep up with the offense. The CB is one of the more balanced defensive positions.
cbs dont need vision 60+?

please dont get mad b.c its been proven you were WRONG ... i guess anger is ur way of saying u were wrong ... well i agree ... you were WRONG
i could call u a loser, and idiot or a moron and would be right but i wont resort to that
point is a shutdown cb is ALOT harder to build than a great wr
ps learn to read i didnt say anything about vision 68+, i said it needed to get to the 3rd cap asap ... your cb is on his way there
your cb vision is 61+ right? RIGHT, but i guess by closing the build u can now deny it

Oh please. Continue to demonstrate your complete ignorance on the topic, Granted86.
The third cap is 68.
My main CB's Vision is 61. That is just above the second cap. He does not need it to be 68 to be effective, nor does any other CB. (Many would argue he does not even need it to be 61 to be effective.)
I'm not angry--just annoyed watching you lie to try to make your point. But then, you don't even know what the attribute caps are. Spend some time on the Wiki learning at least the basics of the game before posting again, please.

ok 1 more time slowly for "special" ppl like drakeborn ... read what u wrote and what i wrote
ive bolded the necessary areas
u ASSUMED that i meant cbs need 68+ vision, i NEVER wrote that tho, all i wrote is that cbs needed to get to the 3rd cap asap, asap has NO TIMELINE

the MANY who would argue on your side of this point are the ones that need wiki, i mean logically here, how would 68 vision not make ANY player more effective than 61 vision?
please THINK before u write

Sorry but WTF?!
You wrote that CBs need to get vision to the 3rd cap, the 3rd cap is 67.98 so is drakeborn's 'assumption' of what you wrote not correct?
Also, if ASAP has no timeline what exactly is the point of writing? Surely it's supposed to mean that the majority if not all of a players immediate SP should be going towards getting vision past 67.98?

never said i didnt mean it either ... nice try tho
since u havent made a comment about a wr in a few posts, i see that u now AGREE shutdown cb's are ALOT harder to build than great wr's

not necessarily, because a cb putting all points into vision would cause them to ignore speed or agility or jumping or stamina or catching or tackling in some way and viscount we both know how balanced cb's have to be
i have been very vague in certain statements on purpose ... i havent given any levels, the only thing i have said was that drakes cb has high vision for his level ... which is NOT a bad thing at all
at this point im jus debating with drake for the sake of debating, since this was originally about great cb's needing more to be great than wr's need to be great
ps drake ur cb has a really nice build

Ok... So a qb should have a vision check to hand the ball off? Or kicker to decide to kick the ball? How about about a center to snap the ball? There should be a vision check for a lineman to block the guy in front of him that he was assigned to block before the play?
Having a check for a receiver that already knows it's a pass play to decide to adjust to a ball is dumb. I guess a Rb should running backwards if he doesn't pass a vision check should be ok. Deciding to adjust to a ball should be natural to a reciever. If a receiver doesn't, the he won't be playing long.
A WR reaching back to snag a pass that was behind him, or going out of way to grab one would be from his catching/speed/agilty/(possibly)jumping. Not "OMG Wow he had great vision on that catch"
