The "fairness" of the issue of revenue is one thing.

But the horrible spectre of teams cranking their starters and running up scores all season is absolutely reason enough for this.

I'm sorry to say, but the fact that points is used in any kind of tie break is in fact laziness on the part of GLB.

ooh the suggestions mod agrees with my suggestion! pass it on to bort good sir one of the reasons i think this is a sound suggestion is that on every level of football, not just one level, championship games are played on a neutral site, with a large stadium, with revenues shared. its not like its something only done on the pro level, its done all across football. lets get it implemented!

im in the same position now, and id prefer to have a split of a larger stadium than to have the whole pie to myself, especially if the other team went 16-0 too.

I'll give the idea a +1. But I would just make the championship game played in the largest stadium possible for all leagues. Financially it will do both teams well, since they will be promoted to what is supposed to be a more competitive league and would prepare both teams better to join the new league.

yes, promoted teams need all the cash they can get in most cases, because a lot of the time they will need to bring in new players to compete.

If you're suggesting different stadium sizes in order to get different payouts, why not just simplify the proposal by having all championship games played in a full stadium? Then you could use a different scalar for each league level (say, 5x for BBB, 6x for A, 7x for AA, 8x for AAA & Pro) to get the different payouts.

The issue with using the league's cap to determine the stadium size is that it would be another incentive for teams to sandbag until the cap is gone. I'm also of the opinion that a USA BBB champion team should earn as much as an WE BBB champion, and that both should earn less than an Oceania AAA champion.

I'd also leave concessions out of the equation so you don't have to figure out how much is charged for what and which team sold more jerseys. Make the scalar larger if you need to increase the payout.

Other than that, I'm a big fan of the idea. Maybe dmfa41 will move this to Epic?

great idea and I like CDZYO of a scalar to pay out to the teams based on the league.

i think youre misunderstanding the capped stadiums. the 100 level would be ONLY for 13 capped teams. so this season only ee bbb leagues would play to a 100 level stadium. the 200 level would be ONLY for 21 capped teams. so this season only we bbb leagues would play to a 200 level stadium. usa bbb, ca bbb, and all other leagues in all divisions would all play to a full 300 level stadium. the caps are only so teams who normally play in front of 2 sidelines and 2 corners arent suddenly getting 7 million payouts or whatever from one game, they get a payout that is much higher than they could possibly get normally, but it is scaled down.
