this is great , i have been wondering how high to train agility and jumping.

I'll be taking all the minors to 60 in the first level or two this season, and letting them play the first 4 games with the pure minor attribute build.
I'll then use the SP gained to pump up punting. They can play the next 4 games with 50 punting and 60 in the minors, to see how the minors interact with a build that is a bit more capable.
It should get the results more accurate, as without any punting for this stuff to be based on, I think all the results will be so clumped together and all so shitty that it wont mean anything.
Most d-league contracts expire mid-season. I'll stop the project at that point and report the results.

Strength: 85 punts, 20.7 yards
Agility: 77 punts, 19.5 yards
Speed: 86 punts, 20.1 yards
Jumping: 92 punts, 18.7 yards
Vision: 99 punts, 19.1 yards
Confidence: 92 punts, 20.5 yards
Punting: 74 punts, 21.3 yards
Of note: Jumping was the highest leveled player. Punting is the lowest leveled player.
Statistically speaking, these results mean basically nothing. They all suck too bad to even attempt coffin corners, etc. I'll take more consistent data next season, that looks at their ability to kick a coffin corner, etc.

Speed is weird to see it doing well? I've never thought about using that....
"The Big Boot skill gives him some extra velocity when kicking or punting..."
Velocity = speed
This always troubled me.
I don't think Octowned's data suggest anything yet... but will be interesting to observe. Have to admit, with all my punters, speed was never played with other than training.

I think they'll all be inconclusive until they get some punting on them. Then we can see how the attributes SUPPORT punting. Clearly they do nothing on their own. Hopefully they'll get enough games this season

I'd almost say that if someone could give them a home on a worthless team and get them 40+ plays a game, even out of position, just to level them all up really fast then find them teams to punt for half a season we could get real results faster. It would require help from someone who owns a scrub team, though.

I GM a scrub team. Not sure how I'd get them any punting time, though, the scrub team also has a punter trying to level.
When they're done in the d-league this season, I'll bring them to the scrub team, level them, and see if anybody will support continuing the project next season.
I'll take all their respective minors to 60, punting to 60, and all equip on the minor. The builds should be good enough and different enough to finally offer good results.

Thanks for doing this. This is what the testers should be doing, but that info would remain private as it'd give them an advantage. Now we'll know if STR actually does anything for Punters, and if speed is actually part of the equation.
