I am the new starting QB for the Devils and I learned something new; when you are a FA - seach the forum for the owners user name to get true colors of what you are getting yourself involved with. Its probably the most important thing a FA can do when deciding which team to sign with. I could care less about salary, I could care less about W/L records. All I wanted was a good enviornment for my guy...active ownership, thoughtful game planning, team communication, etc.
IruleAll15: You can cut me, trade me, bench me...it doesnt matter cause I only signed for one season and as of now, I will NOT reup for season 3. And it has nothing to do with 0-6, but everything to do with HOW we are 0-6 & its not for lack of talent
Here is some advice, but its probably going to be in vain since you seem to ignore most advice given to you:
1.) Spend less time on the public forum threads and more time scouting your opponents & design a reasonable game plan that you clearly communicate to your team in YOUR forum. You spend too much time trolling boards when you should be learning how to play this game better.
2.) Under no circumstance should you rip your own team. It makes you look like a whining cry baby. Everyone can see it - opponents, your guys, everyone...and its more embarassing than a blow out. That is NOT how you get your guys to rally around your team. That is NOT how you LEAD..a team, or anything in life for that matter. You do not win player loyalty by bitching and whining and pouting. Why would any player be loyal to that? You wouldnt last 1 second as a coach on a pee-wee league with that kind of attitude.
3.) LISTEN to people when they give you advice on how to improve your team. YOU ARE IN CONTROL and the end results are your baby. You point the finger in all the wrong directions. You cannot make allies doing that, you only alienate.
4.) You actually have some talent on your roster. But you seem to have no idea how to use it. And when people try to give you hints...see #3
5.) Do not think for one second the guys on your roster would be more than happy to continue under your 'leadership'. As owner/coach, you owe it to every human player on your team to give your best effort; learn the game, learn how to use the tactics, get your depth chart in order, scout opponents - idenify thier strengths/weakness, create game plans, tell guys to set thier tactics to support said game plan - and thats impossible to do when you spend so much time bullshitting in the forums.
If all you want to do is play with beer prices and ticket sales - then hire decent GMs and dont throw them under the bus at 1st opportunity.
6.) Sell your team to me for god's sake and just get it over with. You might be a productive player, but seems pretty obvious you are an inept owner. Sell your team, get your Flex Points back - invest them in new players - learn how to play this game right - then maybe throw your hat back in the ring and promise yourself you will never make an ass out of either your team or yourself in public threads ever again.
With the roster as is, I could turn this thing around in short time. I think just about anyone could. The game is not THAT difficult!
This game is a STRATEGY TEAM-WORK game, and until you approach it like that, you will never have success running a team. (dont cite last season, it only gets harder from here out and you already have melted down)
And I hate to be the one (your new starting QB) to have to tell you all this - but someone needs to. I hate to have to call you out in public like this, but you seem to spend more time here than anywhere else. And if you dont, I certainly cant tell!
You want to turn this thing around, or do you want to keep throwing self pity parties and be the laughing stock of GLB? Its your call....
