They led Berlin 35-14 starting the 4th... Berlin made it a game, but still, not an easy feat...



it was 35-21 then (and we scored on the first play of the 4th) and outgained them by over 200 yards. Only reason we lost was because of awful, awful turnovers that we always seem to give away and never get.

Can anyone tell me why our team didn't take any timeouts and instead forced an incredibly long FG because of time? They don't even go to the hurry up. They just let 40 seconds go off the clock after every play, even though we're in their territory. It's just awful.

I'm really starting to sour on this game. Bort seemingly continuously nerfs what we do best every single season for no reason other than people who build crappy players whine at him endlessly. He's nerfed us at least once a season the past 3 years, but this time I think he finally screwed us more than we can take. I dunno. It's just really frustrating to build a perfectly dominant player and then watch him (them) turn to complete garbage because Bort changes a few numbers.

That said, good game Corey, you guys have a very good team. Not trying to take anything away from you guys. Just getting very frustrated by all these needless changes by Bort from game to game.

Although we haven't been as dominant as you guys for sure, I echo your sentiments. Bort and DD need to just quit f-ing with the physics of the game and focus on the true bugs and the AI/playbook enhancements. But I don't suppose that will ever happen. So, what is going to be nerfed next season??? Any guesses?

Wembley finally got on the board and out of last spot. It took a late FF to get the job done but I will take anything at this point. Marshy and Danthesportsman are doing a good job trying to get us competitive.

Given the results of the Stat Poll that was up for the past week or so, I am guessing everyone. Why would anyone want realistic like NFL stats for dot football is beyond me. I voted for weighted towards real, but after thinking about it some more I wish I had voted for weighted towards inflated. I really hope that Bort doesn't listen to that poll because it will definitely hurt the income for this game. After all, who is going to want to boost a 4th WR every year when they only average 200 yards a season?

One of the things that bothers me this year is how WRs can't seem to catch anything in stride. Almost every single pass has the WR stopping or coming back to get the ball.

I'm a big fan of just having the simulation and letting us play it. Nothing was ever horribly broken. This year, nothing is horribly broken either, everyone is just searching for answers. Rotterdam found those answers and beat us, I'm fine with that so long as now the game remains consistent. It'd be a shame for them and everyone if now Bort goes ahead and moves the target again.

I've also soured on the game quite a bit. I spent a lot of cash getting Jon Pall, Jay Pizzle and Junon Cannon to be dominant players and thought I did a clever job with Sarg Ecke to get him to be a great low level punter. Now they're all mediocre at best and its frustrating as hell. And to be clear its not the mediocrity that bothers me, its the fact that I know even if I fix them and make them good again all that will probably happen is the target will get moved and I'll have to repeat the process all over again. For 18bux a season, I'm not sure how much I want to do that.

Either way, hats off to Corey and Rotterdam. Forcing people to make mistakes and taking advantage of them is how you win at the game of football and that's what you guys did this game.

With a couple surprising wins and a lopsided blowout, the Top 8 of Zeta (normally a pretty consistent group) has been thrown for a loop this week. In fact, while the Top 3 teams are so far head and shoulders above the rest, spots 4 through 8 are just chaos … and even more so between 8 and 15.


9. PPP Longnecks (2-2):
Last Week: 10 (+1)
The Longnecks have begun to right the ship over the past two weeks. While the victories over Ice & Fire and Sevilla will not be classified as classic games or even unexpected wins, the Longnecks seem to be adjusting and clawing their way back towards the Top 8. The ‘Necks found their stride against Sevilla as star HB Jimmy Slasher put up 130 yards on 19 carries and found pay-dirt 3 times. With the Musketeers up next, the Longnecks have to win to stay above the rest of the pack before their tougher-schedule stretch kicks off in Week 6 against the Longnecks.

My favourite part of your write up involved the Longnecks. Who will they be playing in Week 6 to kick of their tougher-schedule again?

hey just got back from a 2two vacation. Saw we won...a little surprised but ill take it. Good game berlin. Also, you may want to adjust when to kick a FG before a half, you kicked your FG with 35 seconds remaining. That prob also has somethign to do with why you guys didnt call any time outs. Lower it to like 15-20 seconds or even less imo
