Never Give up = waste of VA points.

I maxed out quick, and with my math, my LB now has 86 speed, with 83 agility to compliment it now. Then i put the other couple points into sure tackler, i'll max that out as my career goal, and then switch my tackling method to normal (or maybe hard)

I figured since my Lb has 3 more season's to go until he hits the 10th season, i might aswell make the safest pick up just simple% into skills. I've got a little guy coming up slow building so i'll be interested to see the results after this season.

Meanwhile, you just invested 15 points into Sure Tackler, which gives you about a 45% chance now to even attempt a second chance at making the tackle.

15*5 is a 75% chance, not a 45% chance.

Whoops, you're right, my mistake. I was thinking it was at 3%, not 5%. Point still stands though... although at 15 points you have a solid chance to attempt a re-roll for a missed tackle, you're still re-attempting that roll with the reduced chances to make the tackle since you're on Power tackling.

Still not worth it to me though, since you've just invested 15 points into an ability that still has very low chances of success (with no guarantee of a turnover), then another 15 points to cover up a weakness that popped up from going down this path with your LB.

I still haven't seen any of the forced-fumble advocates try to rationalize the fact that their team definitely will not recover every single fumble they force.

Has anyone tried to put points in Brick Wall for their LB?

In the following running plays it looks like the RB gains extra yards after/during my LB tackling him:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=344993&pbp_id=251837
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=344993&pbp_id=252923
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=344993&pbp_id=256238

It could be Dive for Yardage or maybe the RB jukeing/cutting before my RB gets hold of him. It would be nice if Brick Wall could help stop this.

Wow, now that we are allowed to reset, I don't know what to do
My first idea was to invest into Intimidating - giving me a better chance for Snarl to work
But I couldn't see much as a result during the preseason
Than again, I've got only 5 VP to spent...
Now where should I spent them
Intimidating is still an opportunity
But I also like Track Star (about 3 points to speed...), Brick Wall, Clutch, Natural Leader (He plays LILB in 3-4), Sure Tackler or saving 15 point to invest into Streaky later
What do you think ?
Did anybody make positive experience on scrimmage games ?

Anyone put any thought into Slow Starter...considering that for my MLB...I'm wondering if it continues on into the playoffs.

It should just count for the regular season games.

It's in the huge VA thread on the GLB forum; it does NOT include playoffs (how would the skill determine when to start the 4 game countdown?).

I wouldn't recommend Slow Starter, but if you sell out for it (10-15%), then it would be a big benefit for those games. Problem is, you never know how the schedule is going to turn out....

Is it just me or does "Red Zone Freak" really suck? If you put 15 points into it, you will have a 75% chances at a +5% bonus, which averages to 3.75% bonus on all your plays in the redzone.

If you spread your 15 points between your 4 main stats you get 3.75% bonus to your 4 primary stats for the entire game.

Yes, but if you max quick first, get 15% to agility, then start doing red zone freak, that's another 5% on top. It isn't a great first VA, but when you start getting to level 48ish and have other things maxed, that 5% on top of a few 15% on top of natural 70s gets pretty useful, I assume.
