blocking, strength, vision, confidence + pancake equips IMO.

132 pancakes as well as almost 1,000 reception yards on 71 catches last season. We were a heavy run team last season.
Though, this season we're a pass heavy team. Hence the fact that I've only got 9 pancakes to my 762 yards through 4 games. Errr.. 3 games I mean.

Does anyone else realize that the playbook needs to be rewritten with a trips formation for this to work?
Trips left WR screen (TE motions to left side)...but it would be too powerful. IMO
The closest thing to wes welker we had was our #1 WR.

When you say Wes Welker and Hines ward, I am thinking LOTS of receptions and between 1000-1300 yards. This WR had over that last season.
It also depends on your OC. YOu can't have a welker or ward without a good OC to get that person the ball.

trying out a hines ward style WR ... going to get speed/agl/catch to the first cap, then just crank on str/block (they don't benefit from auto-leveling, so I don't see a need to rush them to a cap)

It's not necessary really. My WR has high 20s STR and low 20s BLK and he blocks like a beast. It doesn't take much for a WR to block well in GLB for some reason.
