This is true. It's not just EEPro. It's a GLB thing. Gut jobs/bailing are happening everywhere at all levels.

But not nearly as much as in EE Pro. I mean every other league has maybe 2-3 teams gut per season and sometimes they don't even have that many while EE Pro consistently has 5-7 teams gutting.

Honestly I think that the EE Region for some reason or another attracted people who didnt want competition Jrry, when they get to Pro .. they get pounded and realize they cant compete and gut, or they get here, are actually a good team and tear the doors off, then they are bored and also gut.

There are also a lot of negative people around here who blame GLB for all sorts of dumb things, I really think they are just unhappy with their lives or something and when things go crappy in GLB then they snap, because they are wound up so tight in RL that they cant handle a game going poorly. When you invest too much energy into something and it just goes poorly, its pretty upsetting.

Regardless, I think thats the reason, the good players get jaded or bored, the bad players get their egos hurt. GLB is what it is, a bunch of dots, doing somewhat random things that you can somewhat control and then hope that they dont do retarded things and cause you to lose. If you can cope with that, then you are good to stick around here

But yeah the EE Region has an issue with gutting, I really just think it started all at the beginning actually. When the original Warsaw Legionairres who were owned by DeWittFootball gutted because he moved all of his crew to the Detroit Nasty, Alpha never attracted another established team. I mean .. Demon Brigade was solid there for a while, but never really had an elite team and after Hurricane Ike fell off, Sarajevo Reapers were a good team, not elite but they were solid and they would have been solid until today, but there were a lot of negative attitudes, mostly fostered by their owner, which then spread to their whole team, owner bails, they limp along for 2 seasons and they gut.

Actually, I think thats the worst thing about EE Pro if you ask me, that we have a lot of teams in this league that die a long and painful death, its not short, BAM gut, BAM gone, we have teams like Minsk, Washington, Demon Brigade, GCP, Kazan, Silesia etc etc who just have been dying for seasons, just not bad enough to get demoted because they float on the corpses of other gutted teams, but they are possibly worse than gutted teams. Minsk was in 3 playoff games, but havent been in a playoff game in 4 seasons and havent had a winning record since Season 2 and with as bad as Alpha has been over the seasons, that really takes effort not to have a winning season.

This whole gutting thing is going to be over. The original EE AA 1 owners will soon populate EE Pro, along with the old guard from EEPro, and it will be that way forever. I'm certain nthomas, generel, digitalspirit, owner of Krakow, along with myself will make sure Alpha doesn't gut too much, as long as my team is good enough to stay in Pro, of course. And the gaylords from Zeta will make sure their end of the league stays intact. It'll be OK

Original EE Pro teams after this season (S1 teams)

Alpha
Kazan - Wants to demote
Minsk Koats - Should demote or merge with a different team

Zeta
Prague - Doing fine
Dubai - They just need a little more talent to get back into things


Thats it 4 teams from 32, likely would have been 5 had there not been a tantrum the past few days

Chernobyl and Greek are also rebuilt S1 teams, but not original teams as such, as their owners and rosters have changed

Also that shows just how hard it is to remain a really good team and keep together a team and continually recruit for 9 months. I have had to work really hard to keep my team together this long, but I have a loyal group of players and we have lost very few people. Dubai is still good, Prague is still good, otherwise thats it, 2 in 32 have held it together and remained competitive.

Wow... I didn't know it was like that.

US Pro is the same. Almost all of the originals are gone. This is a process that takes a while because of the stupid way Bort did relegation. People who bought into the Pro level didn't necessarily have the interest or time to put into this game like some others at lower levels did.

So they die a long slow agonizing death, getting less and less competitive every season as better teams from below move up. Sometimes this process is extended, because the good players from a gutted team will join with an original team giving them a little advantage. But as Bort continues to add control of the game plan these teams still die out and get non-competitive.

The real issue is when teams that have won their way up to the Pros die off because they sink the whole restructuring process. Maybe these are teams that won their way here easily and didn't want to put in the effort to win here after all.

Honestly, how many of the teams that will be gutted this season should have left the league last season? I haven't followed this league closely, but I am guessing that a few of them made a last ditch effort to hang on for one more season when they shouldn't have.
