(I had some more stuff, but to be honest, it doesn't even compare to FDC. So I'll just add an additional power ranking and some additional picks)

Predictions

Alpha

Lake Charles Who Dats at Black Watch/ BW wins, 38-31
London Monarchs at Berlin Blitzkrieg/ LM wins, 25-16
Woodridge Lumberjacks at Fightin' Texas Aggies/ WL win, 35-24
London Minotaurs at Wembley Warriors, LM win, 21-20
E-City Mercenaries at Toledo Swords, EM win, 24-17
Stuttgart Nighthawks at Paris Philharmonic SN win, 31-21
Aberdeen Wrecking Crew at Chicago Rocks CR win, 42-35
Dinas Mawddwy Red Bandits at Carthage Army Of Darkness DMRB win, 26-17

Rivals Mainboard Pimps at Korb Destroyers KD win, 24-21
Stockholm Meatballs at Porto Reconquistas SM win, 255-0
PPP Longnecks at Paris Musketeers PPP win, 35-24
Rotterdam Roughnecks at Antwerp Annihilators AA win, 31-28
Berlin Ballers at Lyon Dynasty, LD win, 42-39
Reykjavík Aggies at Multiple Scorgasms, RA win, 38-23
A Team of Ice and Fire at Sevilla Naranjas, IAF win, 38-35
UK Patriots at Black Forest Mercenaries, BFM win, 24-14

Power Rankings

(Please note, if you havn’t read my preseason power ranking on the bottom of page two, I suggest you do so now)

1. London Monarchs (Last Power Ranking, #1)
They did all the right moves, adjusting to the subtle changes and still dominating, with room to improve.

2. Black Watch (Last Power Ranking, #4
They destroyed the UK Patriots last week and looks like they will destroy more teams with this momentum. The Lake Charles Who Dats may put up a fight this week, but I still expect BW to push through them and be the #2 threat this season.

3. Woodridge Lumberjacks (Last Power Ranking, #2)
Can’t say I didn’t predict them losing, but I did see them losing their immunity they had over other teams. Once seemed unstoppable, it looks like they may become just another number if things don’t change.

4. Fightin’ Texas Aggies (Last Power Ranking, #5)
I am just taking this one loss as a fluke, the game just looked plain ugly and to be honest, I think everyone will expect better in the weeks ahead.

5. Paris Philharmonic (Last Power Ranking, #3)
To be honest, I can’t place them any lower than #5. Looks like these guys were out there partying from their win in the championship game instead of playing football. Hopefully we all see an improvement next round.

6. Lake Charles Who’s Dats (Last Power Ranking, #15)
Well the Who Dats always pull off a surprising win, if they keep this form up, they can make the playoffs and do well. Just for the record, I do not expect the team to be a playoff calibre team yet, they just went up against a horrible Musketeer side. Only reason they are this high is the rest of Alpha did horrible this week.

7. London Minotaurs (Last Power Ranking, #11)
Can’t give them a proper ranking yet due to CPU opposition, however I think it is fair to say they are the top half of Alpha at the moment.

8. Stuttgart Nighthawks (Last Power Ranking, #14)
They won up against a new side, and just for winning, I am putting them 8th. However I can’t see them improving much this season and shouldn’t be content with how they are at the moment.

9. E-City Mercenaries (Last Power Ranking, #8)
Only lost by a field goal and a few reckless turnovers. They are more than capable of winning a few games if it wasn’t for the aggressiveness of the Scoregasm.

10. Toledo Swords (Last Power Ranking, #10)
Another team that lost by a field goal, however to a team that people don’t suspect of doing much. With a bit of luck, they should be able to pick up and win a few more in the future.

11. Aberdeen Wrecking Crew (Last Power Ranking, #13)
They had a respectable lost against Antwerp and are probably only ranked this high due to other teams not doing as well and Aberdeen have more potential for improvements.

12. Chicago Rocks (Last Power Ranking, #6)
Humiliated my the PPP Longnecks, things look like it could be a long season if they don't make any improvements to personal or tactics.

13. Dinas Mawddwy Red Bandits (Last Power Ranking, #7)
This team was destroyed by the Korb Destroyers. Hopefully they pick up, but for failing to score and really just built behind hype, I decided to place them all the way down to 13.

14. Wembley Warriors (Last Power Rankings, #12)
I was critisized for placing them 12th, but starting their playoff run with a critical lost, I have to sink them down to 14. However with a playoff culture, they could rise to around 8th by the end of the season.

15. Berlin Blitzkrieg (Last Power ranking, #9)
What can you say about them, disappointing performance against the Meatballs, just allowed themselves to be dominated all over the field. In need of a radical change otherwise they can be demoted.

16. Carthage Army of Darkness (Last Power Ranking, #16)
With a rough loss against the Smiths, there was no where I really can place them other than 16th. They didn’t show any defensive grunt during the match, however they did manage to get two touchdowns. Without seeing much else, I have to leave them in 16th.

Shoulda' made your own thread, imo. The above post deserves it. Scorgasms are not deep so I hope we can manage but I am sure our GMs will come up with some clever energy settings.

Nah, Larkis belongs in here -- we just didn't coordinate our posting well enough this time! Next FDC Corner he'll be in the main body of the text.

This way we get two views on Alpha and the week ahead ...

Thanks guys, always fun to do this.

And Corey, don't think some of those quotes won't end up in a future edition of this!!!

Great job FDC, im pretty excited to see our pimps/korb game but unfortunately i think they got us this year.not to take anything away from them but they greatly out-level us and we still have some key people inactive/not boosted. i am trying something new this game though, so we will see .it will either work like magic or completely fail.

oh, one more excuse in case we lose-we just made some trades, our chemistry sucks

oh, and btw fdc, its pohl not prohl- and i hope to god he does good.

Main problem occurs when FDC finishes around 3am my time, quite hard to co-ordinate

Should improve in the future anyways.
And Antwerp will hold Roughnecks to under 30, will be looking forward to seeing the results.

Question: Say I wanted to watch some of the games tomorrow without seeing the score first, is there a way to do that?

I mean, I (obviously) know how to do it with my own team, but as soon as I click on the WEPL main page, all the scores will be posted, right?

Just curious. Tomorrow is going to be a slow day at the office for me. lol
