The wildcat is a quadruple option play out of an unbalanced line (the 4th, not in the video, is when the HB keeps the ball and throws a pass). It works because the defense doesn't know who's going to get the ball. GLB doesn't have option plays (yet?)

yea I know it's a read option the point here though is have a runner at QB not all wildcat plays have a fake

you would need ot be able to have a QB1 QB2 slot in the depth chart to run it when you want to run it, without the slots you may be stuck with the QB runnin it or havin the RB on a pass play..too many negatives at this point.

If you are talking about using the shotgun as the wildcat, its not set up right. The runners are too far away from the ball. In the wildcat, the QB and RB are lined up less than 5 yards behind the center. Its more of a variation of the single wing, than anything else.
