Hahahhaha this is priceless! Are you not the one who made the guide on how to produce a "shutdown" corner?

yeah i wrote up some info on my build and what i noticed from one season to another. it is not a end all guide to being a shutdown corner. that being said I change my tactics depending on who we are playing so while I bait the weaker QBs into throwing to me I play on close against the better ones. Please, keep trying to bash me, I really dont care. My CB does just fine.

You shouldn't be "baiting" the opposing QBs to pass at you without your owner's permission. That's a huge chunk of the defensive game plan that you're taking the liberty to establish.

Seriously man, your CB is targeted frequently and is taking a hella good beating from same-level WRs and QBs. I don't see how you can say your CB "does just fine"...

1. perfect coverage, just got beat. cant win them all
2. screen pass with a good block on my CB
3. screen pass with a good block on my CB
4. appear to have bit on a pump fake
5. deflected and caught
6. tried to intercept and missed
7. inside slant that i got beat on
8. out route, .5 YAC
9. got beat, i kept running as they stopped and caught the pass
10. another WR screen pass and I was blocked

Im not trying to say my CB is the best in the game, but take away the screens, the caught deflection and me jumping routes and you have 5 plays where I got beat. Thats not bad considering those were 2 of the best teams in my conference(combined 16-2 this season) and I am up against the #1 WRs. In those games I have 9 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 10 PDs.

Hi I am Anebriated, the Defensive Coordinator and practically owner of the Pwnies. The owner of the team is very inactive and has given me full control of the team(or as much as GLB will allow). Im pretty sure I am not taking any liberties that the owner or defensive coordinator(read:me) is unaware of.

I believe that jumping is overrated. Once it's around 30 you don't have to do much more with it. My CB has 26 jumping and has 8 INTs and 22 PD. I have 20 tackles and I've missed 10. I'll admit I don't know how often he's been targeted as I don't watch every single play but I'm sure someone can find out.

Whoa, mass excuses and rationalizations! Just, whoa. And this is only two games... By the way, I didn't even bother to look at completions your team gave up that were less than 10 yards, so you probably gave up more than just these ten passes.

If your build was better, you'd have done a better job. Stop making excuses IMO and do things to keep from getting smacked.

Regarding that "baiting" strategy, it's not working at all.

Thats fine, I almost care what your opinion is. Im not making excuses, but I realize that my CB is only 21 and will get beat on occasion. The fact that you pulled 10 examples of me getting beat in 2 games when I average almost 70 plays a game(no special teams) isnt that bad to me. That means there are 60 other plays where Im not letting up a pass or being targetted. Feel free to research my rough estimate and tell me why I am wrong.

Please keep this up though, I am amazed and amused at your tenacity in this retarded argument youve created.

Ill help you do some research...

I missed a tackle that went for 7 yards(it was a run)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=254818&pbp_id=6099050

out route completed for 8 yards
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=254801&pbp_id=6735872

WR screen for 6.5
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=254801&pbp_id=6737712

127 plays on the field and there are 13(one run) examples of me getting "beat". half of which are screen passes with good blocks on my CB.

Blocks that you would have shed if it weren't for neglecting Strength and Agility

Stop distorting the facts please. 127 plays, 55 of which were running plays.

That leaves 72 passing plays. You gave up 12 completions, which means you allowed completions one-sixth of the time the ball was thrown. Ouch!

More troubling is that the average reception you allowed was over 16 yards which is extremely poor, not to mention the trio of TDs.

Get vision as high as possible. I have focused on that this season and I currently have 16 picks on the year. PM me for more help.

Jumping, Jumping, Jumping. I've seen CBs who started their builds by softcapping Jumping, and they got some pretty insane INT numbers. Like, 6+ in 1 season, which doesn't seem like much, but they were level 10-.

Are you talking about my lvl 28 CB? This is suspiciously close to his history...
