I've been reduced to offering ridiculous amounts of cash for backups down in the lowest east Europe leagues, trying to swipe one of them away in hopes of stardom in the EEP. heh.

I was doing the same thing offereing a buttload of cash to players to get them to the dark side. But now I am just going to build what I have and hop ethat I can make a run late in the season. I did it last year, and I think i can this year too. and everyonce in a while I will keep a look out for talent on the FA forums

There are about 40 teams from TexAgs.com, most everyone is a college student or graduate from Texas A&M. E. Europe Pro and W. Europe Pro champs are both from TexAgs.

Because of that, we have a lot of mature people with incomes and intellects so that leads to good teams. We recruit primarily over there and my team is about 80-90% Aggies.

That is how you get an age limit without actually imposing one.

Also I have never bombarded contracts, I send PMs with an overture to discuss things, if they arent interested in reading it or taking care of their inbox then they probably arent the right guy for my team anyhow. I only take mature people, good builds and no whiners. That is how we win.

Well i wish I had it like that. Good news for you and I think that is great. I do not takethis the wrong way. But I am not lucky enough to have it like that. I am thinking about a way to get things like that going so that I can have a place to build a team from. So thanks for the information. I hope I can find something like that to help me.

You won't be seeing Warsaw that low at the end of the season. Guaranteed.

I have to say, picking up players that post on your forum and want to play on the forum team is WAAAY different than just recruiting within the game. There are two forums I post on that have heavy discussion about this game, and the forum teams have people knocking down their door to sign and have no problem getting human starters and backups at every position.

I'm just trying to do it the other way with my own team as if I'm running a real football team and all I can offer is playing time and money. It's really hard. I've been running this team since half-way through Season 1 and I still have CPU starters at 6 positions.

I guess I do "bombard" to some extent, but I never send just a naked offer. I always come close to filling up the text box with information about what their role would be and why they should want to play for the Tec-9s. I copy/paste the same message to several players, but I do at least give them reasons why I'm a little different from the competition. The fact that I've gone 12-2 in the last 14 games is a main selling point that I give to almost everyone. When recruiting receivers, I pointed out that I had a Level 10 QB (now Lvl 11) and led the Eastern European Pro League in passing last year.

Yeah, I do the same when recruiting. But SOme times guys just want to play for the USA or they want to start, when they are level 4 and I have a level 9 starters already. What is even harder is trying to let them know they will have playing time and they look at your roster and go, Um well you have a player ther already. SO you PM for a while tyring let them know how the game is played. and before you know it they signed with another team. It gets fusterating you only sign like 1 out of every 20 you talk to. The the one you sign out of 5 you sign, 2 become inactive players. out of the 3 left you get one, who wants to be traded becaus ehis buddy got a team. Or he found a team with all low level guys and he can start in their league. SO out of 100 people you contact you only get about two who will stay on the team. out of those two, You might get 1 of them to post on your forums once a week. if you lucky. I dunno just hard to make sense out of it all. No worries. We will just play the game and have fun. And bragg and talk shit to each other, caus, that is what we do!
