One critique. I have read in my study of pirates, that the eye patch was a form of night/day vision of sorts. If they needed to go below the deck, they switch the patch to the other eye and can see fairly well in the dark area. Conversely they could do the same if they were in lit areas below deck at night and had to go up on deck and fight.

The more you know... about pirates...

Let's poke out both eyes!

Considering you probably spend all season working that one out, it is pathetic.
