You want to be a good full back?!?!?!? NO you want to be a rusher don't you? Don't lie about it. you think you'll be some great rushing fullback. well you won't be.
Any good Fullback will have a blockers first mentality. good blockers need str blocking and agility. and that's about all I have to say about that.
dude you are the guy who judges a fullback by number of pancakes arent you? lol. Where am I supposed to get this SP to 2nd cap everything from? Out of thin air? No, I am not going to ignore the rest of my abilities to two good stats
It's not about ignoring everything to have a couple of good ones. It's about getting the most critical attributes up as fast as possible to gain the bigger bonus per level before it drops at level 22. I had a level 27 full back he is retired. His name was ry'ac Ro'nak so enough with the "you don't have a fullback" plus I just built one. I didn't spend a single point in pancake. That is the most useless S.a in this game, after spending alot in it with my center I learned this.
And yes you can double cap str and agility and cap blocking once by level 16. It's not hard. then you would be working your way into being a spectacular blocking full back who everyone would want. Rather than a fullback who can block a little and rush a little.
Also your last owner was stupid if he told you he wanted you to focus on rushing. you should have not listened. You can set up a play in the Ofensive A.I. that could read Between Opponets 3 and opponents goal line.
you can call a rush, and have it be your fullback as the primary ball carrier.
So for your owner to tell you to focus on rushing because of something bort was going to do in the future was a complete waste of your time, as well as his. Since this can and has been done since the Offensive A.I. took it's first breathe.
Too much theorycraft and not enough actual practice. Even with the power running nerf, a FB (balanced or rushing) can be a great compliment to two-headed rushing attack (as the #2 back). Plus he can back-up the team's blocking FB, keeping him fresh.
Is it necessary to slow build in the manner that you're talking about? My FB was the first player I ever made, back when information was scarce. He's far from optimal, but he does damn well. He's balanced build and will probably be taking over the power back role on the team (if I can find a blocking build FB). Since we don't have a power back and he put up 900+ yards using only the crappy FB run plays (in season 4). Last season, he put up over 160 pancakes (leading the team, the conference and he came in #5 for the entire league).
Player builds aren't the end all and be all. The team and scheme are extremely important to a player's success (or lack there of). This doesn't mean to have a horrible build, it just means that a player can do well with a decent build, if in the right situation.
If you want to build a backfield LT, go for it. It's your choice to do so. Don't go around making false claims though. My player is proof that you can be a top FB, without following your plan.
