Week 16 - The Western Front

I'll make my weekly predictions here for all to read. Although Matta actually seems dead on! I did a little research on my own spreadsheet and got the same results. I know I know there are always mistakes on those things; so I’ll put down my own predictins:

Caprica vs. Akron – The Western giant rules all in BBB and has had to endure a whole season two leagues lower than they deserve to be in. None shall stand in their way as their follow the yellow brick road onto glory in single A. Even Bort should stop and admit that Caprica deserves to be in AAA next season instead of wasting their time in these low leagues. They match up with a team that actually named themselves after the Browns. The Browns are you serious? Did you believe all the hype this offseason? Pack it up Brownies and have fun in the offseason!

Caprica 88 - Akron 3

Rapid City vs. Las Vegas – I’m really not sure how you could be a High Roller if you don’t ever make the playoffs? But then again it is the East and anyone can be a good team over there. At least Rapid City gets a bye before getting upset in the playoffs! Since I just got back from Vegas I can tell you that this is the line at Wynn Casino:

Rapid City 103 - Vegas 0

Anchorage vs. Makos – Another Miami team in the East? Can’t you guys come up with your own city to play in? Didn’t we already beat the crap out of you this season? Oh wait that was the other Miami team; the good one! I guess it won’t make that much of difference who we beat; maybe you guys can’t compare notes on how to lose to Anchorage!

Anchorage 67 - Makos 10

DVDTalk vs. Gulf State – I’m not sure how Gulf State even made it to 2nd place this season? Anchorage trashed these guys at the beginning of the season and marked them down as a joke and they came in 2nd? That really says a lot for the East! The Otters might as well stay home and watch some movies instead of game planning for this freebie win. I guess they can send in the Josh Curtain to handle these losers!

DVDTalk 78 - Gulf State 0

Sioux Falls vs. Memphis – When I first looked at this game I thought a Showboat being Terrell Owens, but after a closer look I can see they meant a Showboat like from Mark Twain. I guess that’s why you had such a horrible season; you were heading downstream all season! Maybe you guys should have come up with a real name like Storm! The only Showboats in this matchup are the TD bombs the Storm will lay on you guys!

Sioux Falls 58 - Memphis 3

USMC vs. Texas – I didn’t know they made gutted teams this bad! No wonder everyone actually looks good in the East! I actually surprised Texas didn’t take a few of you guys down. I don’t even know if Texas can even score 0 in this game; it should be a negative score for them they’re so bad!

USMC 255 - Texas 0

Death Valley vs. Atlanta – There is only one Wolves team in BBB and they sure as hell don’t play in Atlanta! On paper this looks like a great match up, but I guess if you take in consideration Atlanta plays in the East; they probably would only have 2 wins in the West!

Death Valley 45 - Atlanta 7

Rocky Mountain vs. Scranton – The East is so screwed up they let a bunch of paper salesmen move into first place! It just shows how the East is falling apart; I’m not sure if Bort is going to move anyone up from the East after this season. Maybe the winners from the East can move over the West so they can try some real competition!

Rocky Mountain 28 - Scranton 6

San Jose vs. So. Texas – Holy crap! Is this a theme with teams from Texas in the East? Wow gutted teams look like crap in the East; this is just another great example why all the teams in the East look like they can actually compete. I’m starting to like the theory of the winners of the East getting moved to the West.

San Jose 255 – So. Texas 0

Chicago vs. Hammerheads – I really thought sharks were supposed to be scary, but both of these so called shark teams look pretty weak. Maybe if both the Miami teams settled their differences and rejoined forces they could create a good team? So are you like the Southern Miami team or the Eastern Miami team? I guess it doesn’t really matter when Chicago knocks you out of the playoffs!

Chicago 48 - Hammerheads 7

Midwest vs. Michigan – Is this really a game? Shouldn’t GLB just balloon up Midwest’s stats so they look better or do they have to really play the game just like the rest of the East? Oh well I guess the Mayhem can enjoy all the stats like they were in the East.

Midwest 255 - Michigan 0

Pittsburgh vs. NBSK – Wow finally a match up worth writing about!

Pittsburgh 21 – NBSK 20

San Diego vs. Houghton – Man that would suck to lose to a CPU team! I really feel bad for Houghton’s match up. Too bad you guys can’t play Michigan every week; then maybe you could make the playoffs! Wait a minute…you guys actually made the playoffs? I guess you can just go inactive all season in the East and make the playoffs!

San Diego 10 - Houghton 9

Southside vs. Detroit – The Spartans have been waiting all season for a freebie win. After being stuck in the West and having to watch all of those easy match ups in the East; I know they kept asking themselves why couldn’t they get in the easy conference!

Southside 28 - Detroit 17

Ivalice vs. Salem – Wow it looks like I might have found a match up were the East might actually win? Nah!

Ivalice 13 - Salem 12

Sierra Vista vs. Vice City – It looks like Sierra Vista waited all season to get a win, but it looks like the wait is over. Don’t you guys wish we got to play the East every week?

Sioux Falls don't have a shot at beating us we hung with some of the best teams in a the east, and Sioux falls by looking at their roster got lucky, well in week 16 their luck runs out!

You need to solidly beat teams like Atlanta or Miami if you expect to even come close to a team like Sioux Falls. I don't think they'll blow you out by that much, but it's not far off.

We'll see what happens after tonight, but teams don't get lucky for a whole season. Either way I think it will be a good hard fought game.

You beat Rocky Mountain Thunder 22-10, we beat them 40-21.

You beat Death Valley Shadowblades 19-14, we beat them 47-14.

You lost to Detroit Outlaws 21-41, we beat them 21-10.

You lost to Miami Makos 10-24 we lost to them 28-35.

Seriously? Sorry to hear you won't be making the playoffs this year after your tough loss tonight.

Completely agree. Sioux Falls has become quite the conteneder in the West. If you think you're gonna roll them, you got another thing comin. And who you callin lucky? Sioux falls' only 3 losses came from 3 of the top 4 teams in the West, in games where they played hard and kept it close. Not to mention the fact that they beat the #2 seed. Looks to me like your 7 losses came from anyone and everyone. You may have "hung" with some of the teams you lost to. But judging from your record and roster, your team is "hung" like a circus midget.

I had to laugh at that as well. The western teams post about how they'll blow out the east, but when one of the eastern guys talks some smack back the west gets offended. Figures

What is really funny is how we are all like brothers and sisters, in that we can dog each other but let someone outside the BBB15 say anything about one of us and we would be there to back each other in a new york second.
