Frisky, you might make a good defense attorney. Your 'blame the victim' speech is down pat already. According to you, and let me get this straight...if I walk down Minnesota Ave in Anacostia after dark and get mugged (or shot, whatever), it's my fault because I was walking down that street. And the person that mugged and/or shot me should be able to go along without any consequences because I shouldn't have been there in the first place. That about right?

first off - law was my original plan before i gave up on schooling for quick easy money and not going in debt ~$80k

second i dont know the area you speak of - but if you place yourself in a stupid situation i blame the person over the aggressors. if you walk down a dark alley at 3am in Rapetown and do not expect to be raped you are beyond fucking stupid and not only need to be raped, but killed

wow i am going to walk down a dark alley that is known for being prone to rape and murder - and i am supposed to feel sorry for you?

I have been to the old Bengals stadium, i understand they play somewhere else now, dunno. Been to the Chiefs twice and been to see the Titans a bunch of times. Have an invite for the Redskins but never make it. Not to mention college games. So yes, I have been to multiple games, and the occasional curse word is tolerated. Heat of the moment etc etc. But a continuous stream is not. Maybe a Raiders or Eagles game but not at any I have been to. If it gets bad, the ushers deal with it. If the ushers cannot calm the situation, the police will kindly escort them away. Paying money does not give the right to act you wish at a public venue.

So, someone close to you is driving through a bad area on the way to somewhere else and breaks down. While waiting for AAA, or changing the tire themselves, they are assaulted and hurt. Its their fault?

Dude read above.."simmer down"! That should have been enough to end this stupid discussion but you have to try and get the last say as usual. Leave it alone, you already won, we now have a private forum, so just stay away from that and if not STFU. You can go put another notch in your preaching podium and do whatever little circle dance or chant you holier than thou types do, whatever, no cares anymore. But please just go away!

I believe that is called the STRAWMAN argument.

In any case, what I plan on doing should this Perma-Ban crud get outta hand is get as many people as possible to blast GLB (Yahoo!/CBS.com Ect...) in the most offensive manner, rather than just retire players and quit.

I am lucky to have only spent 10 Bucks on my players so far, but I do see how it would be frustrating to pay into something and have privileges taken away later.

I can only imagine the number of players that have been referred to GLB by FRISKY and General Mills...and I know about that stupid T&C that was sent around recently...but who the heck actually read the whole thing? Furthermore it's the internet...if parents are so concerned about their kids reading bad words and such, I can only say that maybe the NET isn't the best baby-sitter for your kids.

Part of what has made GLB fun for me is the negative posts, really...are we so soft we can't bare to read words without going nuts? No wonder people fight over nothing, we are so unprepared for conflict that we are not able to deal with any negativity.

MONEY IS VOTES
STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY...I HAVE.

im not talking about going to games dip - i am talking about the atmosphere in general - are they not competative? do they not make fun of each other? have you ever been to a White Sox v Cubs game? sports fans in general love making fun of each other and their teams. they dish it out and get it back, its the cycle of life. as for the vulgarity well thats just a personal choice on the direction to take it

the analogy was made about someone walking in a shitty neighborhood (or so im assuming because of the specific location) - if you want to try and school me at least continue the same line of logic, its pathetic to try and twist what i say

if someone willingly puts themselves into a bad situation and they are harmed i feel it is their own fault by far - Darwinism at its best

Bengals-Browns can get pretty heated. Heh, and you are correct that some get pretty rough. The old "Dawg Pound" comes to mind, but, I have no experience with that stadium, just what relatives talk about. But at the ones I have been to, they are indeed competitive and bawdy. Inter-fan base rivalries are fun, and insults can and do fly. But again, they are generally not disgusting and more family friendly. But, this is also the crowd I hang with. Outside the stadium, there are others that prefer the rougher insults, and they keep it away from the family groups. Which is fine. Sports bars are a different animal entirely though.

Ever listen to Bob and Tom? The Father and Son attacking the umpire bit comes to mind.

I was not twisting your analogy, I was making my own, and asking if your reasoning was that the person should come to harm too. After all, they did indeed drive through the area when they could have drove around. So it was their choice. The person made a bad decision in putting themselves in a potentially bad situation, however, they should not come to harm because of it. Those that commit the crime should be too afraid to commit the crime in the first place, but we know the criminals generally have little to fear from the law. That is another discussion entirely.

I get the feeling some here think I live in a world of fuzzy bunnies and wear pink shades with blinders.

it's the same principle as the scenarios that have been stated. And it's not funny.
