OK here it is...

This is only a very brief effort for now.

I'll add details as and when I can.

Right now I am just using last season as a basis then looking at the last 2 games played.

Also considered the interleague match up.

Elite Teams

2-0-0 Fightin' Texas Aggies
2-0-0 Valhalla Vikings
2-0-0 Wembley Warriors
1-1-0 Woodridge Lumberjacks

These were my 4 favs before the season started, and I have seen nothing to change my mind.
FTAs win over Woo Jacks will probably set the trend and I look for all the above teams to be beating each other.

Contenders
2-0-0 Lake Charles Who Dats
1-1-0 Berlin Blitzkrieg
1-1-0 Aberdeen Wrecking Crew

Berlin and AWC have slipped a little and are at risk of dropping down a tier.
Who Dats are the most likely to step up a tier, with a 2-0 record vs 2 Bubble teams.

Bubble Teams
1-1-0 London Monarchs
1-1-0 E-City Mercenaries
1-1-0 Toledo Swords
1-1-0 Chicago Rocks
1-1-0 Paris Philharmonic

* Monarchs are 1-1 after playing two 'Contenders' so look to be in a good position.
* Mercs have beaten a fellow bubble team in Paris and lost to a contender.
* Chicago and Paris have yet to beat anyone of significance.

In Trouble Teams
0-2-0 Carthage Army Of Darkness
0-2-0 Stuttgart Nighthawks
0-2-0 Blackpool Mountain Lions

Relegated Already
0-2-0 Richmond Renegades

But it was based on Last season and the first 2 games.

Hmmm.... lemme see,

Vikings dropped a lot, but thats not surprising as they are calling it a day.
FTA took too long to correct something that was a very obvious flaw, but are back on form now I think.

Warriors and WuJax I still see as contenders in the Play Offs.

LCWDs form dropped away, mainly because the new teams in the division had good match ups on them.

Berlin and AWC are still contenders but not Elite, so I am happy with that.

Of the buble teams, only Paris and Monarchs have over achieved, while Rocks might be a little dissapointed.

All the bottom teams are spot on, although Carthage show signs of promise, and nighthawks are not in major trouble.

I would say Paris exceeded expectations, LCWD failed to meet expectations, and FTA lost a chunk of the season through inability to diagnose a problem.

Meh, not my best effort, but its been a hectic season.

What a wild season!

(Love ya Aberdeen but, GO TROLLS!!!)

Does anyone have a link to the playoff tiebreaker thread? I'm curious what will happen if we end up with a bunch of teams at 9-7 after next week.

Results between the group of tied teams is the first tiebreaker.

So if 4 teams the order is dependant on the Records against those teams involved in the tie...

Team A = 3-0
Team B = 2-1
Team C = 1-2
Team D = 0-3

Then if its still tied, the second tiebreaker is Points scored.

The third tiebreaker is Points conceeded.

The tricky part is that if only two of the 4 teams have the same Record against the group of teams that tied originally for example..

Team A 2-2
Team B 2-2

It is supposed to revert to Head to Head results between those teams.

but it hasnt happened like that yet, it just moves down to the third tiebreaker.

So no one really knows which is stupid

first it goes best record between the tied teams, then points scored, then points allowed

That's how I understood it...

so

of the 6 potential 9-7 teams, more than likely E-City and Wembley are going to win their games and secure spots 4 and 5. Leaving 3 spots and four teams.

If Toledo, Berlin and/or AWC win their cross conference game, they're 10-6 and automatically in the playoffs.

So the remaining possibilities are as follows...

If only two teams are 9-7 then
BER/FTA = BER on h2h
AWC/FTA = AWC on h2h
TOL/FTA = FTA on h2h

If any three teams were at 9-7
TOL/BER/FTA = BER and FTA based on h2h and points scored
BER/AWC/FTA = BER and AWC based on h2h
TOL/AWC/FTA = FTA and TOL based on h2h and current points scored

If all 4 teams are 9-7 then
Berlin gets the 6th spot based on h2h (2-1)
Toledo gets the 7th spot based on h2h (2-1)

So who would get the 8th spot? AWC defeated the FTAs head to head but they're both 1-2 against the group and the FTAs have more points scored.

Either way, now that I look at it like this, Toledo has to lose for the FTAs to have a shot of any kind.

It is supposed to be AWC, as the number of 'Tied' teams is only 2, so its h2h.

But this doesnt seem to be the case according to some posts in the bugs forum last season.

Not sure if its fixed yet or they decided to move on to tiebreaker 3 regardless.

Toledo Vs Roughnecks is quite a nice tie anyway, but doubly so for FTA it seems

So that would mean it goes through the following progression.

If there are only 2 teams, it's just based upon the head-to-head matchup.
If there are more than 2 teams, then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. Number of head-to-head wins against the other teams with the same record.
1a.Head-to-Head wins against other teams with same number of head-to-head wins.
2. Number of points scored.
3. Number of points allowed

So Toledo would actually be in the 6th spot based on their win against Berlin and Berlin would get 7th spot even though they've got the most points scored in the league.

I need an aspirin.

1a is ONLY if two teams are tied.

For example,

6 teams tied at 9-7.

Of those 6, 2 teams have a 3-2 Record, then its h2h between them.

If its 3 teams that have the same h2h record then move on to points scored.

But like I say, this was how its supposed to work, and a lot of people are complaining that its not working like that and skipping down to points scored right away.

I'd have to look at the league table now and find that situation and work out if its fixed or not to know for sure.

I'm getting a little freaked out that no one has popped in to remind us that it doesn't matter because the Pimps win it all regardless.

I thought that went without saying.... well until Scudrunner said it of course.

You'll be happy to hear, I'm now lurking in Alpha Pro too...I figure if I GM enough teams I might get a win against you one day

Ohhh now I know what you mean, haha, so you GM the Berlin team, when did that happen? It would be cool to play against you on different teams.

2 Games ago. Irish (owner) has a few players on my team and has been helpful to my team with his generosity, so returning a favour by ensuring he crashes out of the play-offs in spectacular style to a bunch of teams with a silly names
