link and everything and he still fights it. Vision helps, get over it.

Fair enough. But sure, most attributes will help a player. I'm just concerned with what helps *most*.

Comparing the stats/builds on your 27WR vs my recently-boosted 30WR would tell me it doesn't make that much of a difference.

That is a very inaccurate assumption. You are working on the pretense that every other variable is the same since you are only comparing the stats of 2 WR's. If it were that simple, people would know by now what is the best combo of stats.
In reality, that tells you very little. QB build factors in, level of competition, playcalling, protection for the QB.
Your comments add nothing to the conversation except assumptions based upon what you percieve as reality.
Lets put it this way, if Jerry Rice is drafted by Chicago instead of San Fran and doesnt work with Montana and Young and Walsh do you think he goes down as the greatest reciever of all time? Most likely not.
I also find this humourous due to the fact a Bort link was placed saying that vision, does indeed help finding and catching the football. The programmer of the game states that it does, in fact help. How much is speculative as noone knows a quantative amount that it helps by. That is the one line of truth in this whole topic.

Rather than wasting your time typing all of that mess, you should try reading the original statement:

That is incorrect.
Are you agreeing that vision is "needed" to catch passes?
It is most definitely NOT needed to catch passes. Its usefulness compared to higher jumping/catching is arguable. I know plenty of WR's with low vision and many points in speed/agility/catching/jumping who do very well.

How can you deny that vision is needed when Bort (who knows more about than you or anyone) confirms that WRs use vision?
Have you ever considered that your WRs 11 drops or incomplete passes thrown his way could be due to low vision?
I know WRs can be successful with low vision, I myself previously thought that WRs didn't need vision but I've twice read Bort confirming that vision helps WRs.
Look at this WR 74 catching, 51 vision and 0 drops:

^ LOL! I think the 75 catching and 8 in stick hands might have more to do with the lack of drops than his capped vision
Love the unconventional build.
Vision is used to catch passes as a secondary attributes. I believe it is less valuable than jumping or catching.
Vision is used along with speed/agility to make passes more catchable (adjust the route during the throw).
Personally, I see the value of going either jumping or vision after catching is taken care of.

Wow, thanks for pointing that build out guys. I enjoyed looking at it. Disappointed by his production (due to level and depth chart), I'd love to see his stats starting in the #1 spot for his current team or one that plays against competition closer to his level.
The guy only has 25 speed, but 48 agility and 5 in route run. Looks like he is getting open, but I wonder how many PDs happen when he is targeted.
I'm a big fan of SAs in your 20s and this guy loaded his up.
I suspect the high catching and the agility are the two best stats for catching.

If it were just due to that this WR would also have 0 drops. Although his build is closed now, when I saw it a few weeks ago I remember he had 74 catching

Right. There is a LOT more to factor into the Drop factor than simply vision. That's not a very good illustration of why it would be "required".
Simply put, vision is not "required" to catch passes. That is a fact. Does it make your receiver a little more efficient? Sure. Does it make your receiver more efficient than one that used those SP's on agility/jumping/catching? I'm not so sure about that.
My own WR's drops are in no way related to vision. They're related to being on a conference leading passing team with an unboosted level 23 QB for most of the season. More often than not, he was up against CB's that were 7-8 levels higher than him and still fared very will without capped vision.
