More regular players vs superstar teams.

also fwiw defense might get a bit better once Bort and Corndog finish up the new play art and plays. Currently it is tough to gauge the coverage schemes just by looking at a picture. New play art and a mouseover tool will be quite helpful in picking better plays with better coverages.

I thought that Bort made some updates to the sprites and the field which made the replays mobile friendly however my phone is old school so I couldn't say for sure.

Is there a difference between regular and superstar? Im not really following much of this.

Superstars start out with more SP and 3 Signature ability points. Also picking superstar trait raises all your ability caps +10 so you can usually push 1 or 2 skills up near or at 100. They are better players in the earlier leagues but once you get to vet league the builds equal out a bit more because SP cost raises so much. Mostly superstars generally have higher conditioning and are more well rounded than regular players. They also have higher salary so you tend to have less depth the more superstars you have. But good builds and a good plan obviously overcomes the difference.

Building enough "regular" players allows one to unlock a "superstar" player that has additional build points to allocate.

That aspect of the new game I find troubling. Its ok that most/all of the players most of us create might not become stars, but the chance that any one of them *might* become a star is part of what motivates folks to create new players.

Regardless of regular or superstar there still is a hunt for the best builds for everything. I certainly have nothing figured out in that department yet and obviously neither does anyone else.

Of course.

But that still doesn't address the fact that its a mild de-motivator to build a "regular" dot when you know in advance that mathematically it can't be a "superstar". I suspect I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I suppose. I am having fun beating up superstars with regular players however.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the importance of strategy, right dot for the right team, etc.

+1

Superstars and respec are horrible decisions. Superstars should come from building well. Developing build strategies is what´s fun in GLB.

Really good seeing the QB leading the WR on the run. Had previously seen too many replays of the WR having to stop to make catches.

It's pretty obvious that GLB 2 is steering away from the rpg nerd demographic. Unfortunately, I am also part of that demographic.

We aren't steering away from RPGs - the game's just being updated by Bort and DD, the same people who enjoy RPGs and launched this game originally. It's basically going to be GLB in the way they would like to see it, a lot of items that you will be familiar with and some new stuff that's really fun. I think you will be quite happy and will enjoy it.

I have two DTs on bhalls Superstar Team. One is a Superstar, the other is not. The non-superstar has VASTLY better stats.

Edit:

Presumes that people like stats. The other DT doesn't get the stats, but he moves the line and allows other people to get stats.
