Not much to say about updates. In between seasons right now and the only update worth sharing is Bort uploaded a couple new Signature abilities. Seemed like one for scrambling qb's and some for a punter mostly when I took a quick look earlier.

No, not Madden at all, madden is and always has been a hot mess in comparison.
As to topic its about where we are heading versus where we are at...
Biggest problem these forums have ever had is the few of you that think you own them and see how much of a smart a** you can be on anything that doesnt come from your own keyboard.
Looking forward to GLB2, GLB1 has needed an overhaul for some time... making it more accessible and less of a math problem will increase its appeal and we can grow this community. Nothing wrong with that at all, in spite of the hateful comments that are about to follow.

A little later on AT&T bought in on it and the name was changed to INN or the ImagiNation Network. Sierra software had a football game out known as Front Page Sports Football. The added this to their online gaming system. You took a team and was given the roster of that team from the NFL (yes they had a license with the NFL), but each season a set of rookies were generated and you would get draft picks like NFL so eventually your roster would change from the NFL team. You could also do trades with other teams as well. You put together your play books and to play a league game, or a scrimmage you met your opponent online and you both sat down and played, and you called your plays all game long yourself, not just set up an AI and hope for the best. The animation was great for its day, the game worked well and we had leagues for many seasons. Eventually the internet came along full force and TSN/INN was sold off to AOL and became World Play and the football part vanished. Guess my point is if they were able to do all that 20 years ago, why are we so far behind that curve now? Used to be an online baseball game as well that you played in real time, up to 5 of the 9 players on each team could be a live person and you controlled your player at your position batting and fielding. This was done over the internet and yes at times it had glitches but for the most part it worked very smoothly, and again this was 7 years ago or so. If all this was possible in the past, why are we not far advanced of all this now? We even had Barry Sanders on the front of the box that year and he did online promos for us and the top prizes for winning the leagues that kick off season on INN was things like autographed jerseys, footballs, etc... and even the opportunity to play against Barry online. Those were the days! I love GLB but it is so far behind what was possible 20 years ago I just shake my head in amazement. Wish someone would at least recreate what we had then even if it couldnt be improved, it was absolutely AWESOME! Anyone else here ever back on TSN/INN in the day? Heck I forgot, Sierra had a world war 1 fighting SIM called Red Baron, even that was brought online, you could have multiple players in their own world war one planes of their choosing dogfighting in real time. How was that all so possible 20 years ago and nothing like it exists today? Google it if you think Im out of my mind, youll find it all really existed. I hope GLB2 is a step in that direction... it looks like a giant step forward from GLB1 but still no where near what existed in 1993.
This game was awesome... and if GLB 2.0 reached Front Page Sports Football status I would be impressed!

Confirmed. I just created a level 25 with my free player and the AP boosts were free.
With everything not costing any SP I didn't think you could tell right now in alpha.

You can.
In the 'cost' section is says FREE instead of the flex cost.

Just curious as to why they haven't included more users during this test.
Why not allow current GLB members to create players for teams while still in the Alpha Testing phase?

probably has to do with team availability atm. but they did bring in more during the second season and sounds like they may bring more in for the third maybe. right now we just hit the offseason and they are working on forum stuff.

Majority of the finale fixes and changes will be site related issues, like the market place, achievements, et cetera.
There's a chance there won't be a third season from the sounds of it.

Do the testers all agree that there isn't a need for a 3rd season or does that call come from someone else?

Sounds like its Bort's call. Personally, I think additional seasons would lead to a better product but the fact that sims are unlimited means that testing can continue regardless of a season actually happening.
