a few things:

1- to those bitching about me creating 19 guys for my team. Well in the begining, i was unable to sign ANYONE cause I was being finacially responsible. So I created players to fill gaps and stay competitive. Now the players that I did sign know, that I will not be boosting most of my players after this season and I will be making them back ups or trading them to other teams. But I was able to hit the recruiting trail and have signed a lot of new players through hard work and referrals. The guys on my team are all happy with the way things are going and our future looks bright.

2- tough loss for the chiefs last game. hats off to belleville. The game was closer than the score. We missed a few FG's and an XP, and we had 3 FF that Belleville recovered. They wound up scoring on all 3 drives. Tough break.

3- there are 4 or 5 teams vying for the last 2 spots in the west. Its going down to the wire.

Good Luck Girls and Go Chiefs!!!!!

Don't take it personnally Buck. We weren't bitching about it, we were providing observations on more than one team, then throwing out personal oppinions on it. No one was attacking anyone.

I understand your pain of trying to find players. Trust me. I GM a team in which we have been losing players all year and trying to replace them is insanely difficult.

#14 (2-7) Tampa Tiger Sharks vs. #13 (2-7) Whitchurch Mouseketeers
#11 (2-7) Greensboro Tsunami vs. #6 (6-3) Virginia Wolverines
#12 (2-7) Northeast Storm vs. #4 (7-2) Big 12 Champions
#7 (5-4) Denver Stallions vs. #16 (1-8) Lake Erie Menace
#3 (7-2) Florida LightningBolts vs. #8 (5-4) Charm City Headset Jockie (GOW)
#1 (9-0) Birmingham Bombers vs. #9 (5-4) Indianapolis Warlords
#10 (4-5) Pittsburgh Deatons vs. #2 (7-1-1) Ludlow Lions
#15 (1-8) Bay Area Wolfpack vs. #5 (6-2-1) NewDawn Thrashing Badgers

Preview: Not an overly exciting week in the Eastern conference, but, once again, it will be an important week for some teams looking for playoff spots. The game of the week has Charm City heading to Florida to face the LightningBolts. Birmingham plays host to Indianpolis in what should be an exciting match. Finally, Ludlow must travel to Pittsburgh to face off against a Deatons' squad looking to turn the corner and make a run for one of the last playoff spots.

#14 (2-7) Tampa Tiger Sharks vs. #13 (2-7) Whitchurch Mouseketeers
The struggling Tiger Sharks must face Whitchurch in week 10. Whitchurch is coming off a terrible performance against Florida in which they gave up a season high 45 points to the LightningBolts. This should not be an exciting game at all if you like to see teams put point on the board. Both offenses are very ineffecient and each team comes into the game only averaging 7.6pts/game for the year. Whitchurch has more talent, but they seem to lack depth. Neither team seems to have a definite advantage in the game and it should simply come down to the team that makes less mistakes. I'm going to give the edge to Whitchurch, but this will not be a fun game to watch.

Key matchup: Quarterback1 vs. Tampa's secondary. If Quarterback1 can be effecient in taking care of the ball Whitchurch should win.
Prediction 13-7 Whitchurch

#11 (2-7) Greensboro Tsunami vs. #6 (6-3) Virginia Wolverines
This could be a very interesting week 10 matchup. Virginia is the definite favorite going into tonight's match, but Greensboro has shown some signs of improvement and beat Northeast convincingly last week. Virginia will prove to be a different monster than Northeast and will give the Tsunami plenty of problems. Raul Manning should have plenty of time to disect the Wolverine defense, as Virginia is the worst pass rush team in the conference with only 4 hurries and 0 sacks. If Greensboro can find some openings and make some plays through air they could give Virginia problems. However, in the end, Virginia is a little too deep and talented for the Tsunami.

Key matchup: Virginia defensive line vs. Tsunami offensive line. If Virginia can put at least a little pressure on Mr. Manning they could make stopping Greensboro's passing attack even easier.
Prediction: 20-10 Virginia

#12 (2-7) Northeast Storm vs. #4 (7-2) Big 12 Champions
The always dangerous Big 12 Champions head to Nor'easter Stadium to face the Storm. This game will not be pretty for Northeast. They do not matchup well at all with the Champions. With Big 12 having the best offensive line in the conference and Northeast having arguably the worst defensive line.. the Storm's defense will be in for a looong day. The Moore brothers are going to be punishing and Zander will have no problems putting up big numbers on the ground. Look for Big 12 to control this game from the get-go and not look back.

Key matchup: Big 12's offensive line vs. the Northeast defensive line. This matchup in no way favors Northeast, but they will have to limit the Big 12 line to stand a chance.
Prediction: 24-3 Big 12

#7 (5-4) Denver Stallions vs. #16 (1-8) Lake Erie Menace
The Denver offense should have a great opportunity to get back into a rythem after getting blanked by Ludlow last week. Lake Erie has been all but menacing to opponents this season. They boast the conference low in scoring output at 7.2pts/game. Lake Erie will need to have success on the ground, because their passing attack is the worst in the league. If Denver comes to play this game will not be close. If they make unforced errors they will make it a bit more of a challenge than it should be. In the end.. Denver should coast to their 6th win and help secure a playoff bid.

Key matchup: The Denver offense vs. TO's. If Denver can secure the ball they will have no worries in the game.
Prediction: 27-7 Denver

#3 (7-2) Florida LightningBolts vs. #8 (5-4) Charm City Headset Jockie (GOW)
This could be a huge game for Charm City if they win. With Pittsburgh and Indianapolis on their heels for the final playoff spot a Charm City win could prove to be the difference. Indiapolis and Pittsburgh both face difficult opponents, so a Charm City win could really widen the gap. A win against Florida is not going to be an easy task. Charm City will have to be effecient and focused. Charm City has been struggling lately dropping 4 of their last 5. They are going to have to play great defense to slow the conference's most explosive offense down. They also cannot afford to give up big special teams plays.

Key matchup: Charm City's defense vs. Florida's HB trio. Charm City will have to step up their run defense and give their offense enough opportunities to score.
Prediction: 23-14 Florida

#1 (9-0) Birmingham Bombers vs. #9 (5-4) Indianapolis Warlords
Birmingham plays host to the dangerous Warlords of Indianapolis this week. It's getting down to crunch time and Indianapolis understands the importance of this week for the playoffs. A Charm City win or a Pittsburgh win could really make it difficult for the Warlords to squeeze into playoffs. Their league leading passing attack will look to exploit any mismatches in the Birmingham secondary. If they can limit their turnovers and force the Bombers into uncomfortable situations they have a strong chance to upset the conference leaders.

Key matchup: Warlord passing attack vs. Bomber's secondary. Can the Bombers slow the Warlords passing attack down?
Prediction: 23-13 Birmingham

#10 (4-5) Pittsburgh Deatons vs. #2 (7-1-1) Ludlow Lions
The final truly intriguing match this week is Ludlow vs. Pittsburgh. The Lions have shown to be an extremely tough opponent for teams over the past 7 weeks. Pittsburgh players and coaches are looking for some consistency in what has been a roller coaster season. They have been unable to string more than two wins together in a row. This will be a tough, brutal, smashmouth, old-school style football game. If it's snowing in Pittsburgh look for a GLB instant-classic. The style of play will really emphasize a strong rushing attack and strong defensive plays for both teams. Look for a low scoring game that will be won or lost in the trenches.

Key matchup: Ludlow's offensive/defensive line vs. Pittsburgh's offensive/defensive line. The team that wins the battle for the trenches should win the game.
Prediction: 17-7 Ludlow

#15 (1-8) Bay Area Wolfpack vs. #5 (6-2-1) NewDawn Thrashing Badgers
Bay Area brings the early favorite for QB of the year Ace Rocket against the stingy NewDawn defense. Although Ace has put up very good numbers statistically, it can be argued that the truly elite players find ways to lead their teams to wins. Bay Area has talent, but they have a depth problem. It's going to be vital for Mr. Rocket and company to come out hot and score early and often against the Thrashing Badgers to nullify the severe advatnage NewDawn will have as the game carries on. Unfortunately, NewDawn is a very good team and should have few problems in winning the game.

Key matchup: Ace Rocket vs. NewDawn's defense. Can Ace lead his team into the endzone early in the game?
Prediction: 24-10 NewDawn

Week 10 Predictions

Los Angeles at New Orleans - This will be the Nations' opportunity to get back on track after being derailed by Northwest. They need to put on a fireworks display to show the league they're still in this race. I think they will. My pick: New Orleans

San Diego at Gilead - The Savages are hurting after this 5-game losing streak. It's gonna get worse as they travel to face the Gunslingers. Gilead rolls in this game. My pick: Gliead

Sante Fe at Bellevue - This game has Game of the Week potential, but will be overlooked by the Northwest/Badlands clash. Both teams ride in with 4-game winning streaks. It looks like Bellevue is really making a bid for the postseason. Sante Fe is playing just as good as anyone right now. The Blitz put up a fight, but Sante Fe wins by 17. My pick: Sante Fe

Seattle at Biloxi - Biloxi is back to their winning ways, and they'll beat up on a struggling Seattle team. My pick: Biloxi

The Snails at Tulsa - Tulsa is riding high after a close win over rival Oklahoma City. The Snails are reeling after losing 4 in a row. They'll finally right their ship against the Scorpions. My pick: The Snails

Orange at Charlestown - This one will be fun. Both teams trying desperately to make the playoffs, and the loser may very well be knocked out of contention. What will help the winner of this game, is that Bellevue will most likely lose today against Sante Fe. Charlestown will have to play mistake free football in order to beat Orange. I like thier chances. My pick: Charlestown

Oklahoma City at Oakland - The battle of the winless. One team will walk away with their heads held high. Proudly boasting of their first of many wins to come. The loser will most likely be ridiculed for losing to the other worst team in the conference. My pick: Oklahoma City

*Game of the Week* Northwest at Badlands - We were treated to a great game last week when Northwest took down a powerful New Orleans team. Northwest was able to shutout the most potent offense in the conference. I had suspected New Orleans' defense was going to be their weak link. For Badlands, defense is their strength. The Nighthawks won't be able to move the ball as easily as they did against New Orleans. The Abomination must find a way to protect and move the ball against a very good Nighthawk defense. If they can do this, they'll win the game. This will be a 6-3 type dogfight. How much will playing in The Cage benefit Badlands? We shall see. My pick: Badlands

Liked all your predictions Thrash...except that last one..I will go with NIghthawks.

I wanna talk trash, just for the fun of it but it is too close of a game to call it from here I suspect it will come down to Doug Funnie and Stump Kicker battling for dominance.
