Prove me wrong, and gain some flex points in the process...spread your referral link around. Buy some banner ads and use your referral link for it. Everyone benefits. I'd love nothing more to be proven wrong about the actual market of this genre.

You keep banning the random people I refer to this site. I've worked really hard at bringing new users here and the admins keep banning them. You obviously don't want new people to sign up.

You stalked me. I'm flattered.

Do I need to get a restraining order or will that be the only time?

This is all true to an extent but its too black & white. To me, there are 2 premises for accelerating the build process...and a 3rd comment I'd make.

1) The build process is too long & tedious. So accelerating something tedious is not a negative. People will either immediately build completely new dots or they will wait until the current crop prove ineffective & maybe rebuild a few at a time. Either way, why not let the players figure out for themselves how they want to do it? What are they going to do...quit because it takes 4 hours to build a dot rather than a year?

For that matter...make the dot-builder as fluid as possible to minimize the need for external spreadsheets. Make the ALG to L-79 onscreen like that script does during the build process. Add in the "SPs to next level" hover popup functionality of the other script. Beyond that...a little imperfection due to not wanting to spend an hour per dot is perfectly fine imo. It means you can hurry thru dots & get slightly less than perfect, or take your time and get perfection. Who cares, the point is to make it faster than a year. Not happy with something? Rebuild the dot next ssn.

2) Teams needing just a handful of dots to remain competitive (like you cannot be competitive without a well-built QB if the agent goes inactive/quits). Preventing these types of guts will improve the competition level at or near the top levels as a nice side effect.

So why cant you just accelerate building to x level and provide a SP dump for levels x to 79? That way, there is still a reward for keeping some non-Pro levels competitive but the impossible to watch lowest levels get eliminated.

3) You think this is not a Team/Coordinator game right now? Thats what this game is...tactics & builds. And lets be honest here, if you need to make coordinating slightly more accessible, ask a solid OC and a solid DC to donate an AI/DPC/Playbook combo for the public good of the game. I'm not the best DC you could ask, but I'd be happy to donate a complete defense for public use with easy tag instructions. You have to make it that easy to coordinate multiple teams & handle multiple base schemes. I'm sure there are others who could do the same for the Offense and if there are multiple coordinators willing to donate,, all the better.

The point is...these are all highly solvable problems. Just engage the user base, challenge the opinions/suggestions (as you're doing), and ask for what you need to make the game accessible for the agents that haven't spent years refining their schemes.

Spot on...

If people over on GLB2 were complaining that that game is too active and too easy to jump into, or that players develop too quickly, or that there are too many sim changes, or that it's too easy to tell what their players are doing in replays, or that the overall tone in the forums is too positive, it might make sense to refer them to GLB Classic. That just doesn't seem to come up very often...

but still waiting to see that post 1 day, hopefully before I go 6 feet under

in 2 seasons, I'll be ready for my next batch of players. but do i bother building any because i have a hard time believing that glb will be around in another year. and i'm sure that i'm not the only 1 thinking that way.. just last week, another long time owner gave up his team. and more coaches are scaling back.

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you mean "And are you planning to change the entire pricing structure on your site?"... As far as I know, we are not planning to change the entire pricing structure of the site.

Same. Been wanting to start a new batch but not feeling particularly interested in a year and not sure if the site is even going to be running or if anybody will even still be around.

I am in the same boat, which is why I posted this :

Only 1 reason I would like to see either insta 79's here or faster player development than the current system
(I happen to be one of the few active forum posters that actually enjoy the minor leagues and build system as it is)

That 1 reason is I have NO FAITH that this game is still going to be here in 3,4,5 seasons from now
Why would I want to start new players and plan out what I want them to hopefully become at plateau if this game will be shut down before they get halfway there?

Give me an Admin of GLB confirmation that this game will still be around for Season 57 and I will consider building a ton of new dots next season. I will promise to purchase whatever flex I am short to ensure that ton of dots are all fully boosted and CEQ'd (and by a ton I mean like 60 or 70).

But I need some kind of assurance that it will not be for noting and by time they hit semi-pro (or sooner) WG does not turn the lights off.

Just give public confirmation on how long you can GUARANTEE this site will continue to be up and running. I will screenshot that and save it for my records.

Put your mouth where my money is.

I saw when you posted that, but wasn't sure if you were joking. I don't think any of us i able to predict the future with the kind of precision you're asking for. I mean, maybe the game will be around til Season 57, maybe it'll be around til Season 157. Maybe if I ask real nice Bort will shut it down tomorrow. (Just kidding!)

We've said over and over, GLB will be around as long as it's financially viable (the same applies to any of our other games). If you want to help prolong (or brighten) GLB's future, you could refer people to the site, OR you could buy Flex Points here. (More FP purchased on GLB = GLB is around longer.) But as far as the detailed financial forecast /fortune-telling you requested, I don't think we can deliver on that.
