This is something bort has proven possible to code, is there a reason he hasn't been able to install this to GLB1? It's practically the selling feature of GLB2. I don't think this game needs Insta 79's, I don't even think the sim needs any changes outside some of the obvious missing football features (ie turnovers and the ability to return them, including fumbles in the end zones.)

I just feel like Bort took some of the best suggestions and implemented them into the release of GLB2, but then made GLB2 and marketed it towards the reasons none of us play here.

I started GLB because a guy at work played, not because I needed something to do at work. I'm busy as shit at work and outside of my lunch break I'm usually not on GLB much. Not to mention a lot of the HUGE companies prevent their employees from using most all websites outside of their work related file sharing web addresses.

I just don't see why there is a know-it-all attitude in your advertising department. If you are going to spend thousands of dollars per month, why not diversify your approach and see if you could have been wrong. Maybe the advertising you are currently paying for is good, but maybe there are better options.

The small company I work for has this same blind mentality. Don't let Bort be that guy who only knows his own ideas to come to fruition. Explain to him what diversity means, and give him some ideas. I doubt you are a moron Deathblade, as it must take some kind of brain power to fulfill two completely different egos at the same time for so long.

You are only allowed to get this thread back on track if you do it in limerick form.

Go.

You have to learn Cornblade-speak.

Thousands of dollars a month = free 30 day trial deal

Good point corndog! This is something that should be changed. Anyone coming in mid season, that wants to build a dot, should get the pro-rated training points from day 40 of the prior season, and be allowed to get that prior season 3X boost. Also allow them to gain the level gains of the current rookie players at that stage of the season. They will be penalized enough, due to not having SP applied and missing out on the ALG's at 2nd or 3rd cap.

No doubt it does suck having to wait until off-season. It used to be if you build a dot on day 48 you were 8 days behind the day 40 dots. They changed that for the better to equal it out, lets do that for the entire rookie season

Y'know, bry2k, you're the third person in this thread to read that post by Corndog and immediately think of and post that idea, which shows what a clear and obvious idea it is.

But that's because people like us look at it as a problem that should -- and can -- be solved.

How do Bort and Corndog look at it? As a ready-made excuse for why GLB1 can't advertise.

if you could build a dot and "age" it 2-3 seasons(without ALGs) you would create a whole new market in the minors. you would have people buying teams in University #6 and then building whole rosters(aged to the current lvl with appropriate flex cost). these dots will never be as good as a dot that was "groomed" his whole career to be a WL player.

I've always thought this game would be best served by having 3 distinct levels. Instant growth. I no longer care to spend time typing, but I'll do the minimum. Get rid of level 79 and crapola.

Level 1(option for the rookie)
Players for only one season. Basic level and training set to current process. These players get retired at seasons end, appropriate flex is returned.

Level 2(option for both rookies and vets)
Players are build instantly with all necessary skill points and boosts. These guys stay in the second tier. No chance of moving. They get three seasons here. Appropriate flex is instantly returned after third season.

Level 3 (for experts and those who have time to mess around and spend $$$$)
Instantly get all necessary skill points to allocate 5 seasons worth. EQ only at this level. Specific training and variance only here. This is where the elite play and they play for five seasons.

You instantly build your dots in level 2&3. Maximum seasons are set at each level. They can't move.

I've spent too much time typing.

Not really.
My idea has to do with player build and rapidly doing so.

IT IS THE BEST
