I've seen quite a few matter in games. A few season's ago we had two straight decided by them (one win one loss).

Great game Wolfpack. While watching the game I had not noticed the missed XP and thought the game was tied at 20. I stared at the screen for about 10 seconds waiting for overtime to start before I realised we lost. lol.
