I'll admit it, I laughed.

For what it is worth, here are my thoughts on the issue. SI is very good at dotball, but usually not quite as good as his frequent public pronouncements on his own greatness.

I do give him credit because he obviously puts a lot of effort into crafting custom AIs and he is willing to take a lot of risks in big games. Sometimes those risks really pay off for him and sometimes they fail in glorious style.

Still I respect someone who is willing to take a risk rather than play straight up if that will give him a better chance at winning.

I think anyone who knows the AI knows that it really isn't a 1 man job to OC and DC and recruit for 1 team let alone *2 teams*


I admit that my AI is pretty bad right now, but I'm not going to kill myself getting it perfect early in the season when Bort can just change it all in an instant.

Now that we are past the 1/2 way point, Bort usually doesn't make any major changes.

Now, I will slowly craft my team's AI better and better each week until we are ready for the playoffs.



I would also add that most of my promotions/threads aren't calling myself a genius. To be honest, I just copy stuff that is working. Very few things are original ideas of my own.

My promotions are generally about getting my team known to help with recruiting and they have been very successful.


I don't recall ever starting a thread saying "SI is a genius"

once you know the offense, it only takes a few minutes to make a solid AI

the hard part is learning it

and recruiting takes the most time by far. I don't recruit for OTR at all.
