+1 to both, but definately need to get parking sales into the game. There is not a team in any sport who does not make money from parking.

It is not always about not being able to manage finances, but as an earlier poster mentioned, if you recieve a team and it is in an uncapped league and the stadium has been reset, you are pretty much forced to slow build for the first two or so seasons before you can afford a 40 man roster of lvl 40-50 players. I don't care how good an owner is, if you have a new stadium in an uncapped league there is no way to pay the salaries of 40 lvl 40+ players on teh revenue from the original sections and concessions.

I do believe that people should learn how to be financially stable before owning a team for themselves, but at the same time, how can this be a life like game without parking sales. Hell, even in the owner mode of madden, there is parking income. The rest should be left out (i.e. concerts, preseason ticket sales etc.) but the parking income should be added. It has been suggested before, and the only negative people have about it is to say " stop complaining and learn to manage your cash" which is easy for someone with a full stadium and high fan support to say. At the end of the day, if we are going to have something as retarded as 1/2 price tickets for away playoff games, we should most definately have home parking sales.

Let me start by saying I agree with this, but we are playing a MMORPG, and it's supposed to be modeled around real life in a way. What I want is the opportunity to continue to build the business side of my team. More money, great, but the added benefit of having another aspect to this game would be great. I don't agree that it should just be a blanket amount of money handed to an owner, that would fall in line with "just give me more money", but I am a greedy individual and I would like to expand my "business" more. Not asking for a Bailout, just want more on the business side. Parking could further determine the willingness to come to a game, which would further impact your concessions and season ticket sales. Other items to be paid for could be added as well for instance, the added security, parking attendants, upkeep, and building more lots. Let's face it, after you have built your stadium, where do you go from there? If I could be more involved with other areas of the football business I would appreciate that. I have a lot more explanation that could determine the randomness that adding parking could bring, i.e. if your fan support is primarily low class, then security would be a bigger need than attendants, vs. if you have all bars full you would need more attendants to satisfy your high class fans. The concessions need a make over too, but that can be another thread. All I am saying is I would like to have another aspect of this game that would have more variables that make me have to think about what my teams AND FAN'S needs are.

But fix the sim first.

As for concerts well most municipalities run these events as part of the compensation for giving the stadium owners tax breaks....

While I agree the GLB economic model is broken... let's keep this a football game and not a stadium money making game....

I here you, but that is all a part of owning a team, and if you don't want the responsibility of paying salaries, taxes, bills, advertising, and promotions, then that should be the deterrent for low activity owners not to own a team, or have those aspects not involved in the certain leagues such as Casual/Pee Wee leagues. This is a part of owning a football franchise and I want some of those headaches. It shouldn't be all about the Dots when you own a team. I want these in there. It shouldn't be all about income, it should be more about ROI. A risk/reward system that is at least slightly challenging in more than one area, not just equipment costs. I played Football Mogul for a reason, to feel like an owner with full control and fault the impact of all decisions that I had made with the understanding that, "whatever happens is my fault.

The concerts and and conventions were suggested as jokes, at least that is how I took them.

Naturally, but it's also exponential so there would be benefit financially as well as gameplay. Season to season this would vary as well with fan support. We would lose that one dimensional financial aspect of the game, build stadium and give EQ fund. More variables become a part of the gameplay experience and cookie cutter stadium building then becomes obsolete.

If as an owner I have to take into consideration my parking, staffing, concessions, advertising and ticket pricing to ensure my fan support grows rather than deteriorate, then this a gameplay I would want included. The idea of running to the forums asking "what should I make my ticket sales with this fan support" becomes less precise and game experience with your own team becomes more important.

I am still a fan of this being implemented, but there has to be a cause and effect variable for this to work and not just be a "give me more money" hand me down.

Some stadiums don't have parking lots though. The Vikings play in downtown Minneapolis, no room for a big parking lot. If you want to park, you have to find a privately owned lot. Perhaps the parking lot could be something you add-on to the stadium, much like stadium sections.
