Wow...merge failed.

MVP system is working pretty good. It isn't really punishing players during blowouts, but it seems to take a snapshot at a certain score, like +75 and ignores stats after that, but I do know players are getting credit for performance up to that point, even when dominating teams.

And on the Pro Bowl voting, he already has a system in place with the rankings by position to name a pro bowl. The last thing you want is "votes". That would be a nightmare.

I like the idea and the formula for selecting players. I agree with not having players selected by voting, it would be nightmare.

My idea has nothing to do with this pro bowl post. I don't think that it should be computer generated except for 1/3 of votes. Cool, I'm glad that got merged.

Would you have preferred me just locking your thread and redirecting you here?

Couldn't it just be based on position rank in the conference? For example if your HB has a Conf Off HB rank of '1'...then he'd be selected to that conference's pro bowl roster as the starter.

I think that players and owners/gm's of the conference should have a say in who should play in the pro bowl. Players that aren't on the best team in the league shouldn't get punished for not even getting the chance to shine. I'm just saying that we should look at ypc. Players like roy williams(of cowboys now but former lion) wouldn't get recognized because they aren't on the best team in the league...Just something else to think about.

The real NFL Pro Bowl is sadly more of a popularity contest than a selection of the best players so it depends what GLB wants to go for, best players in the Pro Bowl or the most famous ones in order to mirror the NFL. I'd personally rather see the best players rewarded but what exactly would be the difference between the current conference rankings and a Pro-Bowl selection?

And don't even argue that this is not the case else you're going to have to prove to me that Favre had a better season than Pennington last year, especially if you consider that the Dolphins won the division and the Jets lost because of Favre's poor performances.

That's what it appears to be there for.

I would have preferred if you left it alone since it is only similar to this post, not suggesting the same idea.

Bort has never mentioned it - but I sure wish he would name a pro bowl team (since everything is already there - and all he would have to do is come up with an 'award' for the award page) -

i also wish he would get this done for this season

Or, why not let every team owner + fans of the league vote on which players get to be in the Pro Bowl?
