as far as non sim or playbook related deals, glb1 will likely be adjusted in many ways. but none of that will come before the sites merge.

Then swap GLB1 code for GLb2 code, problem solved.... Apparently my money is not good enough for you.

they have said many times now that the sites will merge into one and you will be able to use your flex for either game.

I'm involved in GLB1 and the fact that GLB2 is a seperate game leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I might not be buying flex for eitehr version...

And the forums will be shared...I expect a major facelift for GLB1 with much more of an emphasis on functionality.

So will they update information on the site that's been outdated for at least a full year?

You know what B, and I don't mean to kill the messenger, that may well be the case. But then the powers that be have done a piss poor job of communicating that to the existing customers. If there was a strong communication by Bort to the current users that GLB1 will be supported and upgraded I think it would go a long way to calming the waters. If there was communication on where GLB1 and GLB2 were headed, then ditto. But to leave that to moderators or to be discovered on page whatever of a 279 page thread, well that's just poor business. And if they don't see how that is not met with plans to carry Bort out on our shoulders, well then that says a lot.

That communication with the customers got fired so yah they need someone to fill his shoes.....not fill balloons

I would like the opportunity to test Contra...

Oh I mean Super Techno Bowl. I want to put everything into footwork so I can run right off the field after an inevitable TD.

Eh soon enough everything will be merged and in place and all questions will be answered. the real concern about glb1 is losing its player base enough to where it will be near impossible to recruit in any league below pro and it already is hard enough for pro/wl as it is.

possibly. i couldnt say either way at this point. i know a lot of the suggestions from people are site cosmetics. i expect that many of those suggestions will be implemented as part of the laundry list that was spoke of. but i have no insight on what those are. just i realize that adjustments arent going to be made on the old site when a new revamp is close to introduction.

Honestly a very big need in this game and in the new one will be the ability of those running them to have updated information on the site...
Something GLB 1 has had major problems doing to this point

i think it is less about what he envisioned and more about restarting with a code he can work with after learning a lot from his first creation. there are a lot of really neat things about glb2 if they add some more complexity to it and keep cleaning up the sprites more and more with a better view.

Since you became a moderator you've been doing a strong impression of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfAeMtcURg0 Think about the logic behind your statement. If GLB2 was merely an improved GLB1 without patched code, it would more closely resemble GLB1. It doesn't. GLB2 is by all accounts very, very different in both structure and content from GLB1. Therefore the notion that it's just "about restarting with a code he can work with after learning a lot from his first creation" is clearly false. This is not to say that GLB2 will suck or anything along those lines, as we don't know yet, but pretending that it's about the "wishes of the userbase" is comically disingenuous. Maybe GLB2 will be a better and more enjoyable game than GLB1, who knows, but it's very clearly not what GLB1 agents are used to. I'm not even criticizing, as I think it's fine for Bort to do what he wants to do instead of listening to us this time. He unquestionably has the right to make that financial gamble.

"I know you are but what am I" is a superb response. Well played.
