also why are you guys content with staying the same with last year's number?

Most if not all companies strive for a greater market share. Most would look at your peak numbers and figure out what happened and how to get back to that point if not higher.

This game is 4 years old as well.. I don't know many games still growing 4 years after their release

The new projects will bring in new customers

There have been debates about GLB's pricing structure since back in season 1. It's a fairly genius idea if you think about it because the main thing it encourages is people to stay around and use their flex. That being said, I know with future games that things might be a little different. The pricing for GLB, however, is not going to change.

Appreciate the info Catch. The only thing I would ask is, why is it advantageous to have users hang around & spend recycled flex really? I realize some may be inclined to spend more eventually but is it not just as likely they would spend more money anyway regardless of the recycle component?

Short of having ads that payout based on website hits (or maybe there is some other component to earn revenue on in a similar way?)...why not simply increase the amount of flex given to be close to the practical recycle figure? Meaning, a 10,000 flex purchase ends up being over 30,000 if you recycle it completely. This is likely why many stick around but why not just give the 30,000 flex upfront for the same price & not allow for the recycling of it?

They could sell reward points using that model without changing anything for flex points. It's an interesting idea, especially due to the notion that it might promote more dots and teams right now at a time when the game desperately needs them.

Yes, thats actually a really good way to look at it. Lowers the price point for people who want to build a bunch of dots but don't want to put out $100s on it & are ok with the idea of no recycling.

cool the new game that will cannibalize the so called profits from this game and effectively render this SIM inactive?

imagine if all that effort was put into making this game user/mobile friendly.

If by inactive sim you mean a stable sim, like it has been the 2 past seasons or so, then I agree. I dont think GLB will lose much more attention from Bort and Co.

But i do think the new game will just bleed the current GLB users of flex, not so much bring new gamers into the game. unless they plan on doing some real marketing for it

I was saying the same thing you are. It will divide the user base and not bring in new revenue streams.

Im just spending retirement flexies but would buy some of the other shit talked about earlier in this thread.

I would love to make an entire team but have no desire to hang around for 4 years spending the retirement flex so no more money from me.

Then it could die in 2 years instead of 18 months, and future warrior general games go with it

no thanks

Kinda like farmville and its 50 million users?

2 years of great is better than 6 of average.

check out cityville....the millions from farmville are brand loyal heading over to it.

you think glb has 5000 brand loyal customers?

correct

but how many even heard of this magic trick?

I get the burn out quick side of gaming but I doubt GLB has even scratched 10% of their market.
