@everyone else - it is up to the team's owner to decide what a team should do, calling them names and stuff doesn't change what the WANT to do. All it does is show how immature you really are. if a team doesn't want to promote who didn't win the championship then that is their own doing. What is the point of promoting to the World Leagues when you are changing your roster to lower level'ed players? All that happens is everyone on the roster pays to boost a player who is gonna go 0-16 - jezze that's fun. it isn't like Bort didn't have other options here.

Expressing an opinion is one thing but showing disrespect to other agents is something I personally feel is a poor quality. Expressing an opinion without saying "fuck you" is the point I was trying to make. Doesn't matter I have spent enough time in WL forums (this being my first visit) to know that this is the way of things here so I will either adapt or ignore.

I think expressing stupidity was in poor taste. You should take anything and everything you're posting back.

Dar es Salaam would have to be first or perhaps second on your list of APL wusses since we won a conference championship. I'm truly sorry we f'd up the beauty of the game, the glory of the competitive spirit that is GLB. For personal reasons I had determined well before season 12 began that season 12 would be the last for Dar es Salaam in its current run. Life is a bit hectic for those of us with jobs, families, and what many people consider 'real lives.' In fairness to the agents whose dots had been the players for my team all these many seasons I wanted to give a solid last effort before closing shop. About a third of the way through the season I let my key GMs know of the plan. Near the end of the season I let my team know, and then announced the end of Dar es Salaam publicly on the APL forum.

Having made preparations for winding DeS down, said my farewells, lined up players to land on good teams, etc. etc. It was then that DeS won a conference championship. What was I to do? I had wanted to make it to WL ever since it started. Oh the agony of the decision. I spent days searching for wisdom. I attended sweat lodges, took hallucinogenic drugs, talked things over with the shrink, shook the Magic 8 Ball. Who could help me through such a trial? Ohh, the agony. In the end what else could I do? Our fate had been cast.

I hope you will understand the situation we were in and will accept my humble explanation. My hope is that in putting forth this effort I will not be deemed a lesser man than you, Bort, you who always show such dignity, such courage, such bravura shall we say.

The die was cast for me and DeS well before September. We had a good run at things. Everyone knew we were folding before playoffs even started. I'm proud of how far we came as a team. We didn't 'wuss' out. We simply ran our course. That's the story. That's life in GLB. I'm generally a fan of Bort and this little world he's made for us but on this one he and all his toadies can go choke.
