GG Portland - gave us a run for 3 quarters.
gg Spokane - your offense did very well against our D, fortunately Street is a beast.
GG Hogs. I still love you even though you terrorize my toy trucks: http://i30.tinypic.com/s2tsab.jpg

GG Alpine. AI Glitch? We didn't expect to slow you guys down like that.
That should help us avoid relegation for sure now. Hopefully Richey can get a win too!

Sadly, you are right, good teams play to their strengths especially if they are exploits, I wish teams could try not to do it(I'm talking to MM too) but most teams figure, if they don't do it, someone will beat them with it.
If you are helping Bort, what is his official position concerning these situations? (DE gapping the LT/LG, RO blitz from off the line where LG sits and watches him go by)
Does he consider it bad coding and needs fixing or working as intended?
All we really want to know is Borts take on it, sure would answer a million questions and end debates!

When I say I am helping Bort, I don't mean working with him persay but I did have a lengthy discussion with him and he's trying to figure out how to stop him. I'll find his quote.

On #1, that was basically the initial version of it (everyone could read and go after the back), and we decided it was too powerful, not to mention unrealistic, to have non-playside players coming across the field. So, now it's just the play side linemen and LB's. I suppose CB's could be involved in that mix as well, but they are not currently. We had also originally discussed having an auto adjust feature for the pass rush aggressiveness, where it would get less aggressive for each screen pass, and more aggressive for each normal pass. Decided it might work against the defender too much, though.
#2: OL blocks based on a zone-type scheme, not man assignments. This does tend to backfire sometimes, on overloads and whatnot, but it tends to pick up the right player most of the time. What I could see is a line shift option of some sort. Would need to work out the specifics.
#3: Players do try to avoid blockers, actually, which is why they sometimes get held up on them. Sometimes they don't have the ability to turn in time because they are running full steam, etc. If they didn't try to avoid them, they'd just go right through them every time. The problem is that the blockers are also trying to seek out the defenders, and I think they are better at doing that than the defenders are at getting away. I don't know if there is an easy fix for that unless you want an endless cat-and-mouse chase game.
#4: More look-ahead logic perhaps? He looks ahead 1-3 ticks currently, though it's pretty limited and just based on current vectors.

Great game from you guys Tom (Sorry for the late GG, I have been in Frankfurt, Germany all week being drowned in work)! Definitely not an AI glitch, but great scouting on your part to shut us down. You were easily the best team, simple as that.
