Here's the extent of the gameplanning we did:
Drazz: Our next opponent sucks, so we don't really need to gameplan.
Jed: Yup, they suck, that's why I wanted to have our first-round matchup today. I'll scout them a bit and see what I find.
(10 minutes later)
Jed: Their WRs are pretty good, nothing else out there scares me too much. Tpat, any comments on defense?
Drazz: I think we can just throw XYZ preset at them on Offense and we'll be fine.
Tpat: Nope, don't need to change a thing.
So we didn't go all out, but we did look a bit. And the really cool part was that they threw an offense at us which we hadn't seen before, so after the game, we actually were able to adjust our defense a bit to account for what they did in the future.
And the whole boosted/non-boosted teams thing is going to be the downfall of any competition like this. Which is why I want Bort to have time in the off-season for stuff like this (running on the Friendlies server(s)) while he's doing updates on the live servers for next season. But I think I may have over-simplified how the game is run and the 2 can't be separated that easily.
