Much like texas recruiting, they would never publicly acknowledge their offer was turned down, instead it goes back to the old standby "Mack didn't offer."

"Mack didn't offer" is another Texags staple. There are plenty of recruits every year that Texas offers publicly and doesn't get. Just like there are recruits like Lache Seastrunk who Texas doesn't offer despite them being blue chips, there are plenty of recruits like AP and Darrell Scott who Texas offers and doesn't get. Aggies just don't like that fact that Texas gets to pick and choose who they want 90% of the time.

As for being turned down, I don't think you understand the difference between negotiations and "getting turned down." Texas entered negotiations with some leagues, but decided staying in the Big 12 was best for now.

Much like students at tech, staying in the Big XII is not a choice, but rather a consequence.

I do not care why/how we wound up staying in Big12, I am just happy we did.

LOL, Dead Dog University, brought to you by incredibly unstable Lincoln logs will come to understand consequences over the next 6 to 10 years for sure. How can ATM be talking any kind of trash with the dismal outlook you guys have coming? Going to the most dificult conference in America and you hire a Conference USA coach. Defense wins in that league, not finesse offenses. You guys just screwed up your wet dream.

Why did the campus computer network at Texas A&M suddenly speed up?

A. 34 students "logged out."

I never touted what the Longhorns were gonna do. I do know ATM is headed up shits creek and only has a toothpick for a paddle. LOL at the mighty Texas A&M living vicariously through Baylor. Oh, and score board.

No, it was a choice. The Big 12 was always the first choice for Dodds, since he, unlike your administration, understands the value of keeping a conference as regional as possible while still including strong schools. There are more sports than football, and extensive travel will hurt those sports and would be costly to the school. Your school is already poor, is wasting money on a new coach, is paying a huge buyout for leaving the Big 12, and will now have to pay higher travel expenses for all sports. Wise choice there.

They why did y'all try running to the PAC 12 in consecutive years?

As for travel costs, I suggest you reference a map and see where Kansas, Iowa, and West Virginia are situated.

We were looking into going to the Pac 12/12 in case the Big 12 could not sustain itself. The Big 12 was able to survive, so we stayed. It would have been stupid not to have looked into other options in the event that the Big 12 failed. That does not mean that we wanted to go there over the Big 12 or that they rejected us.

You can't just pick 3 schools as say that the travel costs are less. You travel much farther on a whole in the SEC than in the Big 12. Also, WVU joining the Big 12 was a decision by the Big 12 in reaction to losing A&M and Mizzou. I'm sure that Deloss along with most of the Big 12 ADs would have preferred to keep the Big 12 as it was. We will still travel less than had we gone to the PAC 12 and certainly less than you will in the SEC.

If DeLoss was so enamored with the Big XII, why did he start its implosion with all of the PAC -10 courting in 2010? Of course, now DeLoss wants the Big XII since he realizes he will not be able to run the show and be in control in other conferences.

A&M's 2012 road games (Auburn, Missou, Mississippi St, Ole Miss) - 2695 miles (674 miles average)

A&M's 2011 road games (Texas Tech, Iowa St., Oklahoma, Kansas St.) - 2348 miles (587 miles average)

Man oh man, those extra 87 miles should have been a dealbraker

How about a realistic 4 game tally for the sips?

Baylor, Oklahoma St., Iowa St., West Virginia - 2797 miles (699 miles average)

Let's pick one year and focus only on football.

Actually, the travel issue is not an issue for football and Basketball as they can afford/ manage travel pretty well. When discussing travel distance being a disadvantage lets focus on the non revenue producing sports.

Actually the travel issue is not an issue, and I am not sure why y'all keep bringing it up like it is. I am pretty sure if Boise and San Diego St. can pull off playing in the Big East we can handle our travel arrangements in the SEC

This is why I started by saying "there are way more sports than football." Also, not every program is Texas. A&M doesn't have our financial capabilities and is already hurting due to financial mismanagement. Paying higher travel costs across all sports will just make that worse.

Having more than one group make a bad decision doesn't make it a good decision. It's just a bad decision that a lot of people chose to make. Also, Boise and San Diego state will see a much higher increase in revenue by moving to a BCS conference than A&M will see moving from one BCS conference to another. These aren't apples to apples comparisons.
