Is support backlog one of the biggest things that is keeping offseason lengths so long? If so, what can support do besides put in more time to solve these floods? If not, what else is being done to ensure shorter offseason lengths?

(for reference, the time between regular season games from season 13 to 14 was 29 days. The time of a season is 31 days. You're talking about 50% of a casual player's time being spent away from the game. That to me seems like an addressable concern, especially if "only 500 people regularly use the forums".)

Never heard of it - so I'd say no.

Speaking of - 30 more minutes for questions and then we'll stick around for a few minutes longer for general chat and lock this up at {b}6:15 Pacific Time.{/b}

Are you still looking at submitted VA suggestions, and if so are you looking at any particular type?

Bort checks in on http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1690866 every now and then. That's where most of the Season13 ones came from.

Does Bort know that 20 man rosters would be fine for an Iron Man League? (Responses from him seem to indicate he still thinks we're demanding 15, which is what he said the technical problem was with.)

what is your favorite epic suggestion that for whatever reason probably will never get put into the game?

Will there ever be (1s) for every position? Ex - SS1, FS1 RDE1 etc? I think that would help with tagging etc.

This was already answered with a no earlier...

That would actually be a change that would make sense to me. For example - a run stopping SS in goalline sets, 3/4 and 1 etc.

I talked with Bort about this - it's usually a combination of things. Teams promoting/demoting/moving/issues is a big reason though. Then we get issues with changes that are uploaded and need fixing/testing. Ideally we'd like the offseasons to be shorter. Longer offseasons mean less money for GLB so it's not in our best interests to have 10-12 day offseasons. Hopefully as systems get in place and the game becomes more stable, the offseasons will be shorter.

Yes, it's definitely a combination of things. I wish it was as simple as a Support backlog issue.

Believe me, all of us would like to see shorter offseasons.
