OK You asked a second time for the answer so here goes.

Agents with dot's in this league actual like to look at the stats and how they compare to other dots. For once there were no gutted teams in a high end ( the highest tbh) league and as a result the stats were fairly realistic. So these agents had two things going for them, playing a a semi-realistic football sim and a chance to win a shinny jpeg trophy. This is FUN to a lot of agents.....than Hali Shits the whole thing up.

Your general argument is reasonable. Personally I don't see how 6 dots having inflated stats shits the whole thing up, though. Seems like an overreaction to me.
