Neither is wrong. If you think changing things overall to push this game to a closer sim of real football is a worthy goal, have at it. You won't get there, though. Ultimately, there's a couple giant, glaring, 800 lb gorillas in the game mechanics room that will stop you. The gorillas are named "Human Intervention" and "Spatial adaptation" - Game doesn't have the first one, and is terrible at the 2nd.
But villifying people for using perfectly legal game mechanics in the most productive way possible is simply stupid, no matter your purpose. It's doing these kinds of things that ultimately help the game - some people do it while others try to stop it, with the prize a little .jpg and some internet e-glory. The meta-game evolves.
And, by the way, if it's ultimately helping by running a fundamentally bad game into the ground, so be it!
No but I think trying to change GLB for the better is a good goal. I like the game and want it be better, there will always be some things to exploit but there always sensible solutions on how to fix them. And just because something is legal, doesn't make it right. I just don't like seeing games with 40 screens and the DEs instantly getting through the OL because the blocking mechanics and d pathing are horrible. Sadly, if you don't use these things, your team won't be near as successful as it can be.
