So what are the details so far?
Are we double building players for two positions...
or I would think have a generic player that each agent builds and the Owners/GMs decide where they belong. and would be allowed to play any position without OOPs.

read the original OP, he has been updating it throughout the thread to show the public opinion of where this should go... but the thought is just limit the roster sizes and keep oopp in place as it would simply add another strategic element to the game

THIS MUST HAPPEN!
IRONMAN FTW
I'd probably make 10 more players if this was implemented.

Basically it would just be a team of 15 guys, play them where you want. OOP (out of position) penalties would remain in place.
This allows for some strategy in whichever positions you feel you need depth, and allows for some limited offense or defense (or ST) "specialty" players.
Another strategic element is deciding what exactly to build. Say you want to build a WR/CB -- likely to be a common position -- but do you start from a WR base or a CB base? Each would have its own advantages and disadvantages.
The original post will remain updated to reflect discussion in the thread, especially if someone comes up with an interesting line of discussion that hasn't yet been broached.
