As a serving soldier I have fallen foul of this.
This is a great idea and would ensure those of us who serve don't return from a deployment to ruined Dots.

I have had to retire countless dots due to this and now I am going on another deployment. This would solve a lot of issues if this can be fixed.

Support our troops..don't penalize them for their sacrifice.
I'm not now, nor have I ever, had the pleasure of serving our country via the military. I believe that no way should these soldiers, who have paid money to buy flex to build dots and spend their free time having some fun, be penalized for being called to serve.
I've very rarely posted about this suggestion or that suggestion if ever, but imo, this should be bort's FIRST FIX.

What I don't get is how ppl could vote against this. Being in the Military myself I think that this is a small way for bort and the rest of the GLB staff to give back to those serving their country. I understand that when overseas there are a lot more important things to worry about. But things change so quickly now a days and not just with GLB. It would be nice to come home and have a something just the way you left it.

Definitely agree. It doesn't even have to be just because you serve in the military. Any kind of crisis or emergency could arise that would cause you to leave the game for an extended period of time. But being in the military myself, I would definitely like to have something like this, especially since I"m starting to get into GLB a lot more and spending more money on flex points. I don't get to choose when and where (99% of the time, I have requested to be deployed before
) and sometimes assignments just fall into your lap.

JUST AN EXAMPLE this can be used for any reason
EDIT: possibly this

Since it sounds like guys are based on days old....a simple way to track this is you could move their "create date" forward a day at rollover if they are "frozen". wouldn't have to change anything else really.
What about allowing Players to come out of retirement?
You can retire a player while you are gone and then bring him out of retirement when your back.
That should be an easy fix, without creating a whole freeze script.

the only way you could make sure people don't take advantage of this option would be have their superior call Bort and let him know your screen name....

What advantage??..someone freezes their account, then they aren't building any dots, aren't receiving bonus tokens, aren't leveling, accruing stats, anything.
So, if some moron wants to suspend his dot building thinking he has an 'advantage', no matter when he logs back in, he/she hasn't gained ANY ground in any category with their dots. What would this amazing "ADVANTAGE" be??

Exactly. There is no advantage and no disadvantage.
