I was told you don't see players in the NFL changing positions, so I said he was wrong, and you know it. I just made a few examples, because he said you don't see Peyton Manning changing his position, he came out as a Qb and is still a Qb. Try not to only show 1 side of it. You should be able to move your LBs around if need be, and I have used LBs as DEs in this game too.

Point is, players rarely change the type of player they are. Pocket passers generally don't become rushing qb's. Discussing a player changing positions completely is not a conversation as that can't be done anyway on here. In RL, a power back doesn't change to a scat back, and rarely can a scat back be a power back. Who said you can't move your LB around? Who said you can't move your DE around? no one. But, if you move your lb around just understand how it impacts your team. It is the same now, if I have a guy built to be a mlb and move him to lolb then I need to be aware of what effect that will have. If you want to build all generic players, then sure you probably don't like this.

Penalty SA's - First Step, Spin

Whoops, bad example.

What I'm saying is that if I'm "wasting" my bonus SA to cover a hole in the build (ie: the penalty) then let me do that. The point of the extra SA is to give more unique builds, right? Should that include being able to take one of the penalty SAs?

Look at it another way. The way you have it, I can get a 100% increase in an SA by choosing it as my one SA. Why not allow me to take a (unknown) increase to an existing SA if I want?

We're not taking suggestions to changing or adding new archetypes. I'll go add that to the OP. What you see here is what you're getting.

Damn, now I won't be able to make a Dual threat QB for pee wee's anymore

Job well done...

May I recommend that the marketplace is updated so that you can search for a archtype specific player. That will be EXTREMELY necessary as we go forward.

Regardless... I love the direction this is heading.

Like the idea in general.

For players over 120 days, will we get a one time Height and Weight Reset (can pick like you do at the build now) so that you can have your player pick any Archetype or will we only get to pick an Archetype that we fit into?

I do think that custom slots for almost every position will be needed now to be able to take full advantage.

This update does scream for custom DE slots though....

I agree with this. It makes it more realistic. NFL teams typically don't swap offensive linemen (inb4GLBisnotNFL) and it gives the defensive linemen somewhat of an advantage. Lord knows they can use all the help they can get.

260 pound QBs? If their not statues i sure hope they dont break sacks like PBs break tackles

Breaking/resisting sacks would be a good thing, ldo.

Im just sayin its okay if they do, but if they break sacks at a 400% increase from real life like PBs do (against even comp), it would be a problem considering how its not exactley common to rack up sacks as it is.

I rather see teams have some sort of unified strategy tbh. Commit towards a specific team strategy or aim.
