I (Carl Lewis) should have wone best hands...9 drops all year! I dropped half as many as any of the other top recievers. The winner dropped like 20 balls...i don't care if he caught 160....robbery

It has definitely been an interesting start to the USA Pro season. I'm curious to find out what everyone thinks of the season thus far.

My impressions:

-I'm ready to get rid of the dead weight at the bottom of the league. Thanks to the Texas Thunder, who are actively trying to better their team.

-The Detroit Dump Trucks have been especially impressive. 3 victories over quality opponents.

-The matchup between the Nasty and the Mustangs should be a great one.

-Very disappointing start for the Jacksonville Gators, whose lone victory was against a bottom of the barrel team.

-New York Gangsters have way, WAY too much offensive talent to be 1-2.

Whaddya think?

A lot better than I expected. Although it seems like you guys mostly boosted already, so it may be tougher for you guys in the playoffs.

The Nasty/Mustangs game should reveal a LOT about t he USA Pro League this season.

Dark Lotus Juggernauts are somehow chugging along at 3-0 despite not getting better this offseason

Dump Trucks made it to the Conference Finals last season, not a real shocker.

Look at who the Gators lost to though...two of the better teams in the league.

That's only if you buy into the "boost late" camp. I would argue that the playing time you get by being a starter more than makes up for the lower XP you get from training at higher levels. All that talk about boosting late completely ignores XP gained from game playing time. How can such a large factor in XP gain be ignored and a theory still be correct?

Because our managers aren't dumb enough to sit players who haven't boosted yet. Because, in the long run, the managers will get better players.

Pro guys seem to have a better grip of this concept than non-Pro guys.

Because most of the Pro teams got knocked out of the playoffs in season 1 by the late boosters lol. When you finally lose in a "win or go home" game you realize that boosting early costs you a couple of levels that if you just waited you might be moving on to the next round but since you were impatient you have to wait for the new season to start up.

Of course, if your team is filled with lower level players than your competition, you won't be winning enough games to make it to the playoffs anyway. So all boosting late would do is possibly win you a couple of meaningless games at the end of the season.

I think a team that already has a group of competitively-leveled players would certainly benefit from the boosting late philosophy. But a young team that maybe doesn't have the kind of players that their opponents do would have to boost early in order to just stay competitive in their league.

Fair enough. Pro guys I'm sure are just inherently smarter because they are in the pro league in the 2nd season of the game.
